FANS & THE RIGHT PROJECTS MAKE STEWART ONE OF THE FEW REPRESENTING THE "NEW MOVIE STARDOM" SAYS FORBES

Placing another actress in the action role remake of Snow White may not get you a $56 million dollar opening weekend. But with an actress like Kristen Stewart, it can get you there.

Forbes writes that Stewart along with actors like Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and Channing Tatum have the capability to do what few actors can in Hollywood which is to bring in a huge box office as long as the concept is right. 

"Unless you have one of the few movie stars who can open everything (Will Smith and Denzel Washinton), you need a concept that piques interest."

FORBES: KRISTEN STEWART IS THE 3RD HIGHEST PAID ACTRESS

Kristen Stewart's Twilight franchise along with SWATH helped her make Forbes list of Highest Paid Actresses. Angelina Jolie, who stars in producer Palak Patel's Maleficent coming out next year, tops the list at #1.

Stewart does not have any big budget films coming out this year which will make it hard for her to make the list next year. But with Stewart's concentration on her indie roots making smaller films (Camp X-Ray, Sils Maria), this will not stop her fans from looking forward to her work next year no matter what she is paid.   

Forbes writes: 

"Kristen Stewart, who topped the list last year with $34.5 million, ranks third this time around with $22 million. We credited Stewart with her upfront pay on Snow While and the Huntsman last year. Stewart has appeared on our Celebrity 100 list four times but this could be her last year. With the Twilight series finished, Stewart’s biggest income source is drying up. For now, Stewart seems happy to do smaller films like the recent On the Road..."

CHARLIZE THERON MEETS WITH SOUTH AFRICAN PRESIDENT IN HIV/AIDS FIGHT

Charlize Theron returned home to continue her work with fighting HIV and AIDS meeting with South African president Jacob Zuma today.  The meeting was to shed light regarding the disease among girls.

Charlize has been an integral part of fighting HIV and AIDS in Africa with her charity Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project.

"We have come so far in this country with our HIV program. We have the highest number of people who are on HIV treatment, but we still have challenges. ... Young girls should be empowered enough to protect themselves. ... The school environment should be safe for that to happen."

GET MORE HOURS OF KRISTEN STEWART IN NEW ' ULTIMATE TWILIGHT BOX SET'

Kristen Stewart's fans can rejoice because a new Ultimate Twilight Blu-ray DVD Box Set will be released according to producer Wyche Godfrey.

In an interview with Collider, at 7:29 Godfrey talks about this ultimate set which will include "tons of behind-the-scenes footage that hasn’t been released."






Film festival/indie reporter Larry Richman secured the following particulars from the French Amazon site about the DVD:

The box set will have 23 discs which will include all 5 films in regular DVD and Blu-ray.  The total running time of 600 minutes includes 2 hours of unreleased and behind-the-scenes footage.

Souvenirs include an original 35MM frame in a collectible card (senitype), a set of pictures and a Renesmee pendant. 

The French box set is coded "All-Region" which will play on dvd players in the US and other regions.  Audio will be in French and English. 

The French version can be pre-ordered here (original French site) or here (Google translated site) .  The value is approximately $172.59 (US).

DIRECTOR RON HOWARD TELLS 'TODAY' LADIES WILL BE PLEASED WITH CHRIS HEMSWORTH IN 'RUSH'

Director Ron Howard tells The Today Show that the ladies will be pleased with Chris Hemsworth in more ways than one in his upcoming film Rush. 

"What better - quicker way is it to get all of the women in the audience on board then to go ahead & give 'em - give 'em a look."

What Howard is referring to is Chris's bum.  Even the legendary Formula 1 race car driver Niki Lauda indicates his wife gave it her seal of approval.

Rush is about the rival between Lauda (Daniel Bruhl) and James Hunt (Hemsworth) in the '70's.  Rush will be released in theaters on September 27th (US) and September 13th (UK).

If you watched the 2013 British Open Championship on ESPN, you may have seen Fish of Tartan played during the broadcast. It provides a fun look at the history of Scotland and the golf tournament. The catch is that the voice over was done by Ian McShane.  

The tournament ended Sunday.  It was won by American Phil Mickelson which was reported to be the best win in his career.

NICK FROST ATTENDS COMIC-CON 2013

Nick Frost made an appearance at the San Diego Comic-Con on Friday for The World's End. 

Frost joked with fans along with director Edgar Wright and good friend Simon Pegg during the panel presentation.

SAM CLAFLIN APPEARS SHIRTLESS (BRIEFLY) IN NEW 'CATCHING FIRE' TRAILER

Although SWATH fans were disappointed in not being able to see much of Sam Claflin in the new Catching Fire trailer released today on Yahoo Movies, fans did get a small treat by getting a peek into what to look forward to this November 22nd. 

Sam is seen briefly at 1:55 of the video showing a smirk of arrogance as Finnick Odair.

TOBY JONES RECEIVES EMMY NOMINATION FOR 'THE GIRL'

Toby Jones continues to receive recognition for his performance in HBO's The Girl as he receives a nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor In A Miniseries Or A Movie for the 65th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards.

The  Academy of Television Arts & Sciences held the announcement ceremony this morning in Hollywood, California. 

Jones has stiff competition (see nominees below) as the experts are firmly predicting that Michael Douglas is the sure winner for his portrayal of Liberace in Behind the Candelabra which is also another HBO project. 

The 65th Annual Emmy Awards will air September 22nd at L.A. Live's Nokia Theater in Los Angeles on CBS (US).

Kristen wore a Warfighter Brewing Company t-shirt (seen above) during pre-production.  This is a company which makes beer and employs veterans.

UK PREMIERE DATE AND NEW US RELEASE DATE FOR CHRIS HEMSWORTH'S 'RUSH'

Universal has pushed back the U.S. release date of Rush starring Chris Hemsworth. The new date will move from September 20th to the 27th. 

Rush is based on the legendary rivalry of Formula 1 race car drivers James Hunt (Hemsworth) and Niki Lauda (Daniel Brühl) and the 1976 crash that almost claimed Lauda's life. 

Be the Red Carpet is also reporting that the UK premiere for Rush will take place on September 2, 2013.  

More information will be provided when it becomes available.

Eddie Marsan and Nick Frost attend the premiere on Thursday of their upcoming movie The World's End at Leicester Square in London, England.

Marsan and Frost joined fellow cast members along with director Edgar Wright to celebrate the last film of the what is considered to be a pseudo trilogy to included Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz.

Chris Hemsworth is expected to appear at the San Diego Comic-Con 2013 for his film Thor: The Dark World.

Chris has appeared before at the SDCC last year for SWATH and The Avengers in 2010.  There are rumors of a possible surprise Avengers 2 panel which he could appear at, but time will tell. 

The TTDW panel is scheduled for Hall H at 6pm - 7pm Saturday, July 20th.
