Sheridan Smith, Rob Brydon and Alexandra Roach |
'The Huntsman' is definitely taking on a different look and vibe with the announcement of a new group of dwarves joining the cast.
Rob Brydon, Alexandra Roach and Sheridan Smith, whom all are British actors according to the Hollywood Reporter, are a far cry from the distinguished group of actors who took over these roles in 'Snow White and the Huntsman'.
They will be joining Nick Frost who is returning as Neon. SWATH's dwarves were well-known for their tough guy characters in film which included the late Bob Hoskins. This time, a couple of ladies are added. Could they be their wives? Girlfriends? Or just fellow dwarves?
Here's what THR says about the new dwarves:
"Welsh actor Brydon will next be seen in HBO's upcoming series The Brink. He was most recently seen in The Trip to Italy, the sequel to The Trip opposite Steve Coogan, and Disney's hit live-action film Cinderella, now in theaters. He previously starred in the BBC series Gavin & Stacey."
"Roach's previous work includes The Iron Lady and Anna Karenina, and was most recently seen the British comedy Cuban Fury starring alongside Frost and Chris O’Dowd. She will next be seen in police drama series No Offence for Channel 4."
"Smith, who has won two Olivier Awards, also won a BAFTA TV award for her work on the series Mrs Biggs. On the film side, Sheridan recently starred in Dustin Hoffman's Quartet with Maggie Smith."
Chris Hemsworth is returning as the Huntsman and Charlize Theron as the evil queen in the prequel.
The film is set to open April 22, 2016.
