HAPPY 5TH ANNIVERSARY ENCHANTING BEAUTY ~ SNOW WHITE & THE HUNTSMAN FANSITE

Hello SWATHers!! Yes, still here after 5 long years (5 years and two days to be exact as of May 28th). This site began back in May 2011 in support of the film Snow White and the Huntsman which is lovingly known to fans as "SWATH".

Even after the release of Snow White and the Huntsman, there are many of you who have stayed with this site or continued to follow on Twitter or Facebook to find out what is going on with any related future SWATH projects and/or what is going on with your favorite cast and crew members or just to chat about other things like Game of Thrones and Outlander.

With the recent release of The Huntsman: Winter's War, it is unknown if there will be any further future SWATH related films due to the unfortunate low box office turn out (to be discussed in a future post).  But SWATH's cast and crew are still going strong doing other interesting projects.

Yes there are those who are still dreaming of "an actual sequel" that would entail a great story (preferably love story with lots of action and intrigue) with both Snow White (Kristen Stewart) and the Huntsman (Chris Hemsworth). Anything is possible in Hollywood if the script is worthy and money is right of course.  Well fingers crossed you dreamers. Heck if they can bring back Jon Snow from the dead, anything is possible.**

Although future SWATH films may not (said loosely) be in the future, the original cast & crew have been busy with doing interesting work which has been posted on the site, tweeted on Twitter or entered on Facebook.

From winning and being nominated for major awards, writing and starring in their own films, getting into directing, starring in block buster films, doing outstanding critically acclaimed work or even coming out with their own line of accessories, SWATH's stars are as talented as they come.

This site will continue to provide insight on what your favorite cast members have been up to since SWATH's release. A future series will begin so you can catch up to what they have been doing since June 2012. Stay tuned for that.

So thanks to you - the fans, the cast and crew for your undying support over these years.
Maybe we can go a few more.

Always have to give a personal thank you to Editor/Writer Cheermom who was a huge part of the operations during the heyday of the pre and post release of SWATH. Although I'm hanging by myself these days, I couldn't have done this without her. Love her dearly.
Also thanking all others who helped along the way.

xoxo

Charlize Theron's work with AIDS in Africa through her charity 'Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project' is being recognized with her selection as one of Time's Most Influential People of 2016.

The forward written by Mycoskie, the founder of Tom Shoes, gives insight into Theron's charitable works:

Straight talker on HIV prevention A lot of celebrities know how to raise awareness. Charlize Theron is different. First, she is deeply, deeply involved in the actual work of her foundation, the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project; for the past nine years she has spent a lot of time in southern Africa with young people, helping them protect themselves from HIV. Second, she’s incredibly results-oriented and knows her programs really well. And third—and this is what makes her particularly effective with people who can make stuff happen—she’s not afraid to say what’s on her mind. I’ve never met anyone who holds less back. That means people trust her, which helps spread her influence. We’ve been giving kids shoes for 10 years at Toms, and what we’ve found is that making kids feel special is just as important as putting shoes on their feet. Charlize’s work is the same: the work she’s doing is important, but the way she goes about it, by building kids’ self-esteem, is just as valuable.

Congratulations to Charlize! Find more information at Charlize Africa Outreach and follow her on Twitter at @CharlizeAfrica.

CHARLIZE THERON TO JOIN UNIVERSAL'S 'FAST & FURIOUS' FRANCHISE AS NEXT VILLAIN??

Charlize Theron is reported to be in talks to join the successful Universal Pictures Fast and Furious franchise as a villain, according to Variety.

Universal reportedly made an offer and are "eager" to add her to the ensemble cast of 'Fast 8.'

Theron is known for her villanous rolls as the evil queen in Snow White and the Huntsman and reprised her role in the upcoming The Huntsman: Winter's War as well as in her Oscar-winning roll in Monster.

"This isn’t the first big star to join the “Fast and Furious” cast mid-series. Dwayne Johnson joined the cast in “Fast Five” — Universal likely hopes to mirror that move with Theron’s casting, adding a fresh face for not only “Fast 8,” but for the remaining installments."

Variety reports that Theron is currently filming The Coldest City which also stars SWATH's Eddie Marsan.

Fast & Furious 8 is set to go into production April 17, 2017, according to Variety.

SECOND TRAILER RELEASED FOR 'THE HUNTSMAN: WINTER'S WAR'

"If it's the Snow White's tale you're looking for, discover the story that came before."

This quote opens the second trailer released today for Universal's The Huntsman: Winter's War.  The voice over warns the audience at the beginning and at the end that this film is not about Snow White.

This trailer gives a look into how Emily Blunt turns into the the infamous Ice Queen with her evil sister Ravenna at her side played by Charlize Theron.

Chris Hemsworth (The Huntsman) and Jessica Chastain (The Warrior) are both seen joining in on the fight against the two sisters.

Check out the trailer below.

Winter's War opens April 22, 2016.

Synopsis:

The fantastical world of Snow White and the Huntsman expands to reveal how the fates of The Huntsman Eric and Queen Ravenna are deeply and dangerously intertwined. Chris Hemsworth and Oscar® winner Charlize Theron return to their roles in The Huntsman Winter’s War, an epic action-adventure in which they are joined by Emily Blunt and Jessica Chastain, as well as director Cedric Nicolas-Troyan. Producer Joe Roth (Maleficent, Alice in Wonderland) once again leads the team in a breathtaking new tale nested in the legendary saga.

Long before the evil Queen Ravenna (Theron) was thought vanquished by Snow White’s blade, she watched silently as her sister, Freya (Blunt), suffered a heartbreaking betrayal and fled their kingdom. With Freya’s ability to freeze any enemy, the young ice queen has spent decades in a remote wintry palace raising a legion of deadly huntsmen—including Eric (Hemsworth) and warrior Sara (Chastain)—only to find that her prized two defied her one demand: Forever harden your hearts to love.

When Freya learns of her sister’s demise, she summons her remaining soldiers to bring the Magic Mirror home to the only sorceress left who can harness its power. But once she discovers Ravenna can be resurrected from its golden depths, the wicked sisters threaten this enchanted land with twice the darkest force it’s ever seen. Now, their amassing army shall prove undefeatable…unless the banished huntsmen who broke their queen’s cardinal rule can fight their way back to one another.
