Variety is reporting that 'On the Road' starring Garrett Hedlund, Sam Riley and Kristen Stewart will not be ready for any film festivals this fall.
Variety states that Tom Luddy, co-director of the Telluride Film Festival, "has been tracking his pal Walter Salles [director] for "On the Road," but Salles told Luddy he's still working on the sound and won't be ready for any fall festivals."
Fall film festivals have become a barometer for future Oscar nominees (Juno, The Hurt Locker). This does not negate any nominations for 'On the Road' it only means that people will not see it at the festivals.
