(IMDb)

Charlize Theron will be honored with the Career Tribute award at the 21st annual Gotham Independent Awards being held on November 28th at the Cipriani Wall Street in New York City, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Theron along with actor Gary Oldman, director David Cronenberg and Tom Rothman chairman and CEO of Fox Entertainment will receive the award as well.

"The awards, which unofficially kick off the movie awards season, shine the spotlight on independent film, although this year’s honorees have all worked in both the indie and studio arenas."

Nominees for the film awards will be announced October 20th.

Oldman is currently starring in Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy with Toby Jones who plays the dwarf 'Claudius' in Snow White and the Huntsman.

Jones attended the U.K. premiere held on September 13th at the British Film Institute in London with Oldman and the distinguish cast of "who's who" of the British film industry which includes Colin Firth, John Hurt and Tom Hardy.

The Guardian U.K. has named two films starring Jones as potential top Oscar contenders. Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy was listed  where Jones plays 'Percey Alleline' in this spy thriller.

['TTSS' is about] "An intelligence officer is recalled from retirement when there are signs that one of the top-ranking officers of the... British Secret Intelligence Service is a Soviet mole."

The Guardian lists My Week with Marilyn as the second potential Oscar contender.

Jones is quietly one of the busiest actors in Hollywood. He currently has up to 8 films in pre and post production.

He was recently seen in Captain America where he played 'Dr. Arnim Zola'.  He was the voice of 'Dobby' in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1.  But his next big blockbuster movie he will also be starring in is highly-hyped Hunger Games where he plays another 'Claudius' ('Claudius Templesmith').

Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy is currently playing in theaters in the U.K. and as of Sunday, November 18, it was #1 at the box office.  See Jones discussing 'TTSS' in the featurette below.

Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy opens  December 9th in the U.S..
