UNIVERSAL'S CHAIRMAN RETURNS

(Adam Fogelson)
The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Universal Pictures chairman, Adam Fogelson, will return at the helm for two additional years.

He was selected back in October 2009 along with Donna Langley to replace ousted executives Marc Shmuger and David Linde.

"Fogelson will continue to have oversight of the feature film division, which has had a mixed bag this year. Movies such as the Ron Howard-directed The Dilemma, The Change-Up and tentpole Cowboys & Aliens disappointed although Bridesmaids and Fast Five surprised and over-performed.

Next year the studio has some big bets on the line, including the expensive watery alien invasion movie Battleship and the franchise hopeful Snow White and the Huntsman."
