RACHAEL STIRILING DOES HER BIT FOR CHARITY & BREAST CANCER AWARENESS

(Rachael on right with Auction winners Stuart and Julia Raeburn)

During this summer Rachael Stirling joined forces with the Too Many Women campaign for Breakthrough Breast Cancer. The aim of the campaign is for 201 women, called ambassadors, to each pledge to raise £5,000 (almost $8,000 U.S.).

Rachael auctioned off various items from her previous work and the chance to meet and have tea with her at the Savoy Hotel in London.  Stuart and Julia Raeburn won the auction by bidding £440 (over $600 U.S.)

Here is what Rachael had to say about the afternoon…

"We had a ball and I very much enjoyed meeting the Raeburns. So much so that tea time rolled into early evening, and it was dark outside by the time I left. Stuart kindly offered to buy us cocktails and I was sorely tempted.

Thank you to them both for being such charming company, and even more so for helping us to reach our target."

Rachael has raised £5,050.01 which exceeded her target of £5,000.

The Enchanting Beauty has been participating in Breast Cancer Awareness Month by asking fans to get checkups and making you aware of how the SWATH cast has been participating as well.

Earlier we reported that Liberty Ross and director Rupert Sanders were raising money for this charity at a celebrity event hosted by her and several other Hollywood stars.

As Breast Cancer Awareness Month winds down, we again remind all SWATH fans both male and female to get breast exams.  We want everyone to be around June 1, 2012 and thereafter.
