STEWART'S 'ON THE ROAD' BEING RECUT FOR TIFF: COULD LEAD TO
OSCAR POTENTIAL

MK2

Indiewire reports that Kristen Stewart's On the Road is being re-edited and the results will be shown at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 6th in its new state.

OTR ran 2 hours and 20 minutes when shown at the Cannes Film Festival.  Reviews were generally positive with some of them boarderline commenting on the length of the film and the pacing. OTR will be reduced by 15 minutes which means someone's character will surely land on the editing floor.

There is a hope that these edits will lead the film into award season with a potential Oscar nomination.  OTR is reported to open this December.
