THERON CLOSE TO SIGNING ONTO
SETH MACFARLANE'S 
'A MILLION WAYS TO DIE IN THE WEST'



It is being equated to the Mel Brooks ingenious comedy Blazing Saddles, Universal's Ted creator and star Seth MacFarlane will be stepping into the realm of western comedies and he wants Charlize Theron to be his leading lady.

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Theron is close to signing onto MacFarlane's next big Hollywood venture called A Million Ways To Die in The West.  

THR describes the film as a "comedy that follows a sheepish farmer who chickens out of a gunfight and sees his girlfriend leave him. When he meets the wife of a notorious outlaw who offers to teach him how to shoot, the farmer at first sees a chance to win back his love but slowly falls for the woman. Complications ensue when the outlaw returns and reclaims his woman."

Production could begin in May, according to THR.

Theron is also dipping into the producer's well herself with her upcoming television series Hatfield & McCoys.  Read more about it here.
