FIRST LOOK: KRISTEN STEWART IN 'FLORABOTANICA' AD

Although a bit blurry, here is a first look at Kristen Stewart in the Balenciaga Parfum Florabotanica advertising, thanks to Fashionista.  As you can see, it is geared to a more youthful look and consumer base unlike Charlize Theron's Dior.

Read more here about Stewart's take on the campaign.
STEWART WILL BE TANNED & BLONDE IN NEW FILM 'CALI'

The Snow White pale skin and long black hair will not be seen in Kristen Stewart's next film 'Cali'.  Stewart tells Women's Wear Daily (as she prepares to be the face of Balenciaga's new fragrance  'Florabotanica' this fall) that in her next film she's losing all of the Snow White looks.

"To physically prepare for the part, Stewart will become tan and make her hair blonde."

“I’m going to get into the best shape of my life,” she said. “I’m going to look like a stripper. I’m going to look like a porn star.”

Although Stewart does not consider her style to be like any of the style icons she admires such as the Hollywood screen siren Bridgett Bardot, it appears Stewart's appearance in 'Cali' will be more in line with Bardot's regardless.

'Cali' is about a couple “in the valley that gets involved with really strange people, really screw themselves over and become alienated, reinsert themselves into that world and try to survive. It’s really ‘Grindhouse’-y — extreme in every way,” Stewart says.

Stewart further describes her character.

“If you don’t know why someone is the way that they are, then you’re just playing a caricature of a girl,” she explained. “So if an emotional scene comes up or something, I never want to lie. I don’t want to think about my cat dying when I was younger.”

For her, acting is all about self-discovery.

“A lot of times, you’ll read a script and you can identify with things that are very surprising, things that kind of shock you about yourself. And the process of making the movie is finding out why those feelings occurred,” said Stewart. “Sometimes they’re not always easy to define.”

'Cali' will be directed by Nick "The Notebook" Cassavettes and this will be Stewart's first producer credit for a film.  'Cali' is currently in pre-production.

KRISTEN STEWART ~ THE FACE OF BALENCIAGA'S NEW FRAGRANCE "FLORABOTANICA"

Kristen Stewart has been in Paris this weekend preparing to be the face of Balenciaga's new fragrance which is named "Florabotannica."

A mouthful to say the least, this new fragrance will begin its campaign with Stewart this September.  Stewart tells Women's Wear Daily that she was not one for wearing her mother's perfume but she likes this fragrance.

“I’m very lucky that I like the fragrance, because I would have done anything with [Balenciaga designer Nicolas Ghesquière],” continued the 22-year-old. “And I’m a terrible liar.”

Stewart said she was relieved the first time she smelled Florabotanica.

“There is something natural about it,” explained Stewart. “It’s very alive. I think that as a young person wearing it — considering that I’ve never worn a scent — it kind of puts you on this level of, like, ‘Whoa, check me out.’

The fragrance itself is based upon a duality.
Ghesquière  sees Stewart in the same way, "gorgeous and boyish". The fragrance is based upon scents from a garden being both "nice" and "nasty" flowers.

SWATH DWARVES JOHNNY HARRIS & NICK FROST TALK ABOUT
SET PRANKS

Universal Pictures Facebook

We have had the pleasure of presenting a few videos of Director Rupert Sanders and the cast on their press junkets for the SWATH promotion.  They all appeared to have had a good time together from Kristen and Charlize, Ray and Brian, Chris and Kristen, Kristen and Sam and so forth and so on.  They spoke about everything fans wanted to know about making the film and even each other. Although they spoke of the set being professional, it appears that they did have some time for a few laughs.

SWATH dwarves Johnny Harris and Nick Frost answer another fan question from the Universal UK Facebook about what kind of pranks were pulled on the set.  Both Frost and Harris appeared to have fun answering this question.  Although pranks themselves were few, it seems like there was a bit of teasing going on.

Hear about what pranks they pulled on set in the video below.

POPSUGAR RELEASES THEIR TOP 100 OF 2012: SWATHERS MAKE THE LIST

Premiere

PopSugar came out with their celebrity list of 100 for 2012 and three of our SWATHERS made the list.  Kristen Stewart came in at #3, Charlize Theron at #12 and Chris Hemsworth at #72.

Accoriding to PopSugar, fans vote and PopSugar applies their calculations to determine who will be #1.  Therefore, it is not a total fan selection.

See what PopSugar had to say about each below and see the rest of the list here.

3. Kristen Stewart

Kristen Stewart hasn't slowed down. Her Summer in 2011 was all about training for her fairy-tale role in Snow White and the Huntsman and talking up Breaking Dawn Part 1 with Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner at Comic-Con. Kristen's many projects put her in the spotlight over the next few months with covers on W magazine, GQ, and Glamour. In the Fall, Kristen juggled promotions for the Twilight installment, which came to a head at her Hollywood handprint ceremony. Breaking Dawn Part 1 finally hit the big screen with huge success, helping Kristen wrap up an awesome year.

The fun didn't stop for the star, though, as she traveled to Paris in the New Year to shoot a Vanity Fair spread with Karl Lagerfeld. Kristen kept up the overseas excitement with a visit to Fashion Week, where she checked out the Balenciaga show and the new Louis Vuitton exhibit. In March, Kristen was on the go with Charlize Theron for SWATH before meeting up with Rob at Coachella in April. Her major red carpet moment came when she hit the Met Gala in Balenciaga, a brand she's representing. Her gorgeous appearances continued at Cannes with her On the Road cast. In June, SWATH rocked the box office, rounding out an awesome year for Kristen.

12. Charlize Theron

Charlize Theron's past 12 months of hard work solidified her a spot on the PopSugar 100. Her indie hit Young Adult made waves at the end of 2011, and Charlize earned a best actress nomination at the Golden Globes. Charlize quickly moved on to bigger blockbusters. She promoted Snow White and the Huntsman with costar Kristen Stewart throughout the year, leading up to the movie's huge June release. The big-screen action didn't stop there for Charlize, since Prometheus hit theaters in June too.

There was even more excitement for the star when she adopted a child, Jackson, and brought him along on her many travels with help from her own mom. Charlize is heading into another successful year with work on Mad Max: Fury Road, which she prepped for by shaving her head.

72. Chris Hemsworth

Chris Hemsworth had a banner year! He reprised his role as Thor in this year's The Avengers, and kept the blockbusters coming with a part in Snow White and the Huntsman. He also spent time on the London set of his upcoming picture, Rush.

In addition to his career highs, Chris and his wife Elsa Pataky welcomed their first child, daughter India. There was more excitement in store for the native Australian — his little brother Liam recently announced his plans to wed Miley Cyrus.

STEWART HAS GROWN UP:
MEDIA TAKE NOTE

Zimbio

She began 'Twilight' when she was only 17-years old.  The film was just another indie in a long line of indies she's done...but with a moderate budget, the film unexpectedly turned into a blockbuster.  Suddenly, she was thrown into the biggest media frenzy she has ever been a part of in her young career; and from that time, the media has hounded her with unflattering and at times unprofessional  attacks forgetting that she was just a kid being thrown into the Hollywood meat grinder.

Now, she's a young woman with a great career...and maybe, finally...the media is realizing this...

"The media image of Stewart established through the various Twilight cycles is that of an uncommunicative young woman alternating between disdain and boredom in her promotional appearances. However, on a quick visit to Australia with Snow White co-star and former Phillip Island lad, Thor lead Chris Hemsworth, she spoke in swift, excitable sentences and referred to roles in films she believed in as ''causes''. Stewart repeatedly used ''tactful'' in a pejorative sense, as if it was plainly preferable to shake things up."  ~ Sydney Morning Herald

If the media ever chose to do their homework, they would have known they were dealing with a shy 17-year old girl who was thrown into an unplanned and unexpected media frenzy being asked all kinds of probing questions about her life that she has NEVER had to deal with before.  You'd be a little put off too.

But will the media ever let this go?  Appears not.

Maybe, just maybe with all of the films Stewart has made and will be released, the media will leave the Twilight comparisons behind....

The Sydney Morning Herald interviewed both Stewart and Director Rupert Sanders who explained that Stewart is about more than the one film.

''She's been imprisoned by Twilight and this is her breakout,'' says Rupert Sanders, the British director making his first feature with Snow White and the Huntsman. ''Kristen's very talented and she's got a huge career ahead of her where she will constantly surprise people.''

SMH could be one member of the media that has recognized that Stewart is more than just the one film and is showing success as well.

"Stewart was widely praised at the recent Cannes film festival for her turn as the libidinous, forthright Marylou in Walter Salles' adaptation of Jack Kerouac's seminal Beat-era text On the Road, but right now it is Snow White and the Huntsman that is fortifying her commercial leverage. Sanders' film has quickly earned more than $250 million overseas in a season where several expensive blockbusters, such as Battleship, have failed commercially."

Stewart has consistently defended her work in Twilight recently at the MTV Movie Awards and is not backing down from it. But she does want people to realize she is more than just being Bella.

''I'm not trying to distance myself from Twilight, but there are several films coming out this year that are going to compound the sense of change,'' Stewart says. ''I've done things that are far and away from anything I could imagine, and right now I'm bursting with emotions and questions.''

Like Stewart has, the media needs to grow up. Read more here.

DWARF CONTROVERSY, DEFINING "FAIREST," STEWART'S RESILIENCE & MORE (VIDEO)

Australian Premiere: Zimbio

Director Rupert Sanders tackled the question about the faux controversy over the dwarf casting. Sanders explains to the Brisbane Times that the dwarves needed actors to develop the characters as well as a cohesiveness of having worked together in the past.

“I don’t think we’re really in trouble...”  “There’s a slight aroma of publicising one’s self instead of actually having a point.”

“We specifically went after a certain group of actors because of the heritage of them having worked together so many times, and for their ability to craft characters. There aren’t that many people who can do that and so we shrunk them. We used a lot of little people - probably 35 or 36. They were on set with us every day. Probably 20% of the shots you see of the dwarves are with real little people.”

He also called for a not-actually-reality check. “The are fairytale dwarves. I couldn’t find a real troll, but the trolls aren’t coming out of the woodwork and saying why didn’t you use a real troll!” It would seem some of the film’s casting critics might qualify for those roles too.

Sanders also discusses the casting of the three main characters (Snow White, Huntsman and Queen).  In the video, Sanders discuss the casting of Kristen Stewart and explains the misconception of the meaning of being the "fairest of them all."

Stewart and Chris Hemsworth join Sanders in explaining their perspective in their casting.
