THERON NERVOUS TO SAY 'MIRROR, MIRROR'?

ShowBiz Spy reported that Charlize Theron was a bit nervous to say the famous phrase "Mirror, Mirror on the wall..." 

“It was so nerve-wracking I can’t even talk about it! And that was my first day of shooting,” she said.

THERON TO BE HONORED WITH THREE OTHERS AT GOTHAM AWARDS TONIGHT

The Independent Filmmaker Project (IFP) will honor Charlize Theron and three other film industry luminaries with career tributes during the 21st Annual Gotham Independent Film Awards™ being held tonight at the Cipriani at Wall Street in New York City.

Theron will be honored along with Director David Cronenberg, Actor Gary Oldman and Tom Rothman, Chairman and CEO of Fox Filmed Entertainment.

The IFP is the nation’s oldest and largest organization of independent filmmakers. SWATH was mentioned in Theron's biography in their press release:

Oscar-winner, Charlize Theron, is one of the great actresses of our time. The South African native captivated audiences as female serial killer Aileen Wuornos in Monster for which she received the Independent Spirit Award and the National Broadcast Film Critics Association as well as winning the Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild, and the Academy Award for Best Actress. KRISTEN TRENDS AGAIN...BUT AS 'BELLA'

As 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1" continues to burn up the box office with almost a half billion dollars made in two weekends of release, fans apparently are still excited about it.

'Edward and Bella' played by Robert Pattinson and Stewart began trending this morning on Twitter.  This level of excitement may mean that even though 'Breaking Dawn Part 2' is a year away, the film will be as popular as ever.

As Charlize Theron continues her promotion of 'Young Adult', she will have the ocassional opportunity to talk about SWATH.  EB will be posting the interviews that bring out something new or maybe have an interesting quote or even brings Theron's funny and offbeat humor.

This interview with MTV is one of them.  She is hoping for a change in the fairy tale ending.  But if producers plan on having two more films, we doubt her ending will come true...at least not in the first film.

THERON TAKES ISSUE WITH NY REPORTER: "I'M GOING TO F**K HIM UP"

As 'Young Adult' gears up to open December 16th, Charlize Theron and her fellow cast members are doing the press and talk show rounds.

During press interviews at a screening in New York last night, a reporter who Theron is familiar with did a no no by labeling her character as an "unsympathetic, she seems to be an alcoholic, delusional, mentally ill person, kind of a loser."  He found out that Theron does not like labels too much.

IF Press provides the account of what happened next as follows:

Listening later, during the question, I hear co-star Patton Oswalt whisper to her, "Let it go, let it go."

Theron clearly whispers back, "I'm gonna f--- him up."


Her response to the microphone: "Well, first of all, nice to see you again. Second of all, thanks for insulting me. Third of all, I've never been a fan of labels."


The lesson: Don't insult Charlize Theron -- or anybody she plays.


Guess that reporter didn't see her in 'Queen mode' in the SWATH trailer.  NY press is as tough as they come and will hit hard, Theron just showed how tough she was and sucker punched him back.
 Maybe it is from her experience dealing with mean girls growing up.  According to the New York Daily news, Theron provided an account with her experiences growing up and having to be teased by mean girls.


"I wore really nerdy glasses because I was blind as could be and the boys didn't like ," she said. "I didn't have any boyfriends, but lots of crushes."


But back in the day, her awkward haircut and glasses kept her on the outer fringes of popularity.


"I wasn't in the popular crowd," the stunner, 36, said of her growing pains. "There was a really popular girl at school and I was obsessed with her. I mean you would go to jail for that stuff today.


"I was in tears one day because I couldn't sit next to her."


Now she's an Oscar winner, the face of a Dior campaign and about to star in two highly anticipated movies next year with SWATH and 'Prometheus'.

SWATH'S LILY COLE SEEN AT TENNIS MATCH ATTENDED BY PIPA MIDDLETON

OK, it's Sunday, why not go for a little hot UK sighting.  Normally this is not big deal to hear that SWATH's Lily Cole attended a ATP World Tour Tennis Final where Roger Federer was the headliner, however, when the Prince Williams' famous sister-in-law, attends...well that is news.

The Telegraph UK reports that Cole as well as other celebs attended the match and Pippa Middleton was one of them.  There are no details as to the normal inquiries, "What did Pippa wear?" or "Who was she with?" etc...  yet. But for Cole to be mentioned in the same sentence is pretty cool.  Wish they just found a way to add SWATH then it would have really been something to write about.

LIBERTY ROSS TO TALK ABOUT HER CAREER AND MOVE INTO FILM

Vogue UK is having its first online Fashion Week from the 5th of December to the 9th. It will have chats with designers, showcase working in the fashion industry, exclusive offers plus more chats with celebs like Florence Welch and Cheryl Cole and Models David Gandy and Liberty Ross.

Liberty's interview will be the last one on Friday the 9th at 9:00PM GMT/4:00PM EST.  It will be interesting to see if she will mention her involvement in Snow White and the Huntsman which is directed by her husband Rupert Sanders.

THOMAS GREETS FANS & TWEETS ABOUT SCORE

To fans surprise, Stuart Michael Thomas reach out with a greeting via Twitter today.  Much to his surprise, he realized an increase in Twitter followers.

As previously reported on November 16th, Thomas will be assisting (creating sounds and textures to be used) James Newton Howard as he composes the score.  He tweeted that they are already working on the score.  

Both Howard and Thomas are also working together on the score for the next film in the Bourne franchise, 'The Bourne Legacy'.

IT'S A WRAP...NOT REALLY

As usual, we will always try to provide fans with the some perspective on the circumstances surrounding the filming of SWATH. 

Twitter went ablaze when a photograph of an invitation to a SWATH Wrap Party to be held December 11th was tweeted.  However, in this case, this does not mean filming has been completed. 

SWATH has already had one wrap party for a set location and this would be the second, however, it also may not be the last one since filming will be ongoing.

EB received confirmation from two actors a few days ago, via Twitter, that filming will end in January 2012.  Some filming may also take place in the U.S.  Where it will take place is unknown (in studio or at location). However, we previously posted location test shots showing possible places where SWATH could be filmed in California.  

Although nothing has been officially confirmed by Universal or through any producer, it appears like it will not be wrapped by December 11th with call times as late as December 14th.

Having a wrap party does not mean filming is complete.  In this case, production is winding down in the UK and having the wrap party would make sense in order to gather the cast and crew one last time before the holidays begin.

Hopefully this will provide perspective on what the wrap party situation would mean for production. However, in all, principle photography is almost completed and has not wrapped.

MOVE OVER SLY & ARNOLD, ACTION HEROES ARE NOT JUST MADE WITH LEADING MEN ANYMORE

In the 1980's, if you did not have biceps that were the size of a basketball, abs that were considered 12 packs, carried a machine gun the size of Mount  Rushmore which you could run, leap and jump while hitting a moving target in a single bound. If your last name wasn't Stallone, Schwarzenegger or Van Damme, you pretty much were not an "action star" even though there was a once in a blue moon oddity like the scrawny average Joe 'John McClane' popping up now and again.

 Now it is 2011 and the action stars are...females?  Yes females and they are all different ages, shapes and sizes. From Angelina Jolie's 'Laura Croft', 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith' and 'Salt' to Dame Helen Mirren's 'Red', this latest batch of X chromosome action heroes that are kicking butt and taking names. 

Both the 'Twilight' franchise (a love story) and recently the movie 'Bridesmaids' (a comedy) have even shown Hollywood that a predominately female fan base, with the right story, can dominate the box office without gun fights, car chases, fancy wizards, spaceships, 3D used to boost ticket sales or explosions and still be extremely successful and profitable.

With 2012 on the horizon, there will be plenty of kick-ass ladies gracing the screen.  The Guardian takes a look at the upcoming crop of female-oriented action films which includes none other than 'Snow White and the Huntsman' starring Kristen Stewart. 

"Hanna and Sucker Punch proved we no longer need sweaty middle-aged male leads screaming, 'Not my daughter!' But who's the toughest of this new crop?'
 
The Guardian goes on to describe SWATH this way:
 
Bella from Twilight's got some theoretical balls and a sword in this 2012 release. The sheer amount of mud in the trailer tells us this girl's not afraid to get her hands – or hair! – dirty. A true heroine for the L'Oréal generation. Although Charlize Theron's evil queen has ordered the Huntsman to kill Snow White because she's hotter. Typical girls, eh?

UNIVERSAL STUDIOS RECEIVED A ROYAL VISIT

Universal Studios have found themselves surrounded by real royalty and not make believe, sorry Sam [Claflin].  Prince Harry made his way to visit Universal Studios in Hollywood as a tourist, according to Radar Online. 

Prince Harry is in the U.S. for helicopter training as part of his military duties when he took timeout to brave the Thanksgiving holiday crowds for his visit.

It is always exciting to see the royal family visit the U.S. shores no matter what the occasion may be.

IO ECHO CONTRIBUTES MUSIC TO SWATH

Ioanna Gika and Leopold Ross (Liberty's brother) are Io Echo.  They are a LA based band who have opened for Florence And The Machine, La Roux and for Nine Inch Nails' last show ever.
 
Not only have they written original songs for the movie, they are responsible for the dialogue for the Comic-Con Teaser.

CONGRATULATIONS TO CHRIS HEMSWORTH 'BAFTA ORANGE RISING STAR 2012 NOMINEE'

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts announced their first round of nominees for the Orange Wednesdays Rising Star Award which recognizes the best up-and-coming actors and actresses in film.  Chris Hemsworth has made the nominating list this year being 1 out of 8 actors. 

If Hemworth wins, the 'Snow White and the Huntsman' cast will boast two winners.  Kristen Stewart was the 2010 winner.  Although, Stewart gave 'Twilight' fans all the credit for her win, her impressive resume is what obtained the nomination for her and her win.

ARE FANS REALLY POISED FOR A BOX OFFICE BATTLE?

There have been several blog outlets comparing and contrasting Universal's Snow White and the Huntsman with Relativity's Mirror, Mirror.  These comparisons will be ongoing considering how both films came about. 

However, News.com Australia is the first that EB has come across stating that there is some kind of line drawn in the sand by fans loyal to each film.

"The trailers for both films, have hit the net and already YouTube fans are fighting over which one will reign supreme. Sharp loyalties have formed on either side, months before the films have even been released."


"Fans are fighting over which one will reign supreme?"  Really?  There is an actual battle?  No, no, don't think so.  The battle may be in the administrative offices of Relativity and Universal but as far as fans are concern as well as other news outlets, it appears that Universal's SWATH won the trailer battle hands down.

However, MTV has asked the question "Which  trailer was your favorite? When they are compared side by side, anyone can see that SWATH is more exciting.  

Google does not show a plethora of fansites being created for Mirror, Mirror not to mention, with the 'Thor' and 'Twilight' fansites supporting Chris Hemsworth and Kristen Stewart, there really is no competition.  But if there is a fan battle, let the battle begin.

 With her final trip to Black Park, @KristenStewbabe took her last shots of the tree set.  

Thanks for sharing all of your pictures and experiences during your set visits.  She even was removed by 'HBG' (see definition below for those who do not know what 'HBG' means) which we are sure she will never forget. 

When she sees these trees next year on the screen watching 'Snow White' run through them, she can say, "I was there".

THERON STILL HAS NOT FILMED SCENES WITH STEWART

In an interview with Access Hollywood for her next movie 'Young Adult', Charlize Theron admits that after all the filming that has taken place, Kristen Stewart and she have not filmed any scenes yet.  However, she clearly likes playing the Evil Queen because she says she makes her "feel like a pre-teen".

“I’ve been like a 12-year old… ‘That’s my castle, that’s my house," says Theron to Access Hollywood.



The actress called the “Snow White” project, “ambitious,” and she said playing the Evil Queen Ravenna has been “very fun.”

Snow White and the Huntsman has the best trailer without a doubt.  The most exciting thing about The Hunger Games trailer is seeing an arrow hit a bulls eye.  Brave shows an arrow shooting at a bear. Mirror, Mirror...uh, well...ok, well you get the picture.

STEWART IS EXCITED TO PLAY 'SNOW WHITE'

In an extensive interview with the Scotsman.com, Kristen Stewart discussed her career choices after 'Twilight' is completed.  During this interview, Stewart expresses her excitement to play 'Snow White'.

"I’m really excited to find a proactive female protagonist. Female-led films are either full-on chick flick, with all the girls just being girls together, or all the guys are helping them on the way.

“In this we have a girl who’s broken in the beginning and she needs to build herself. There’s an identity that needs to be found and it’s intimidating to her because she’s a real girl, but she’s got this lineage, she’s got years and years of leadership in her blood so she’s not afraid of things that people are typically afraid of. She’s able to channel her fear into forward motion.”

Charlize Theron attends a screening of her soon-to-be released movie 'Young Adult' at the Cinema Society & Dior Beauty event at the Tribeca Grand Screening Room in New York City on November 18th.

According to Socialite Life Tony Danza, Diablo Cody, Carolyn Murphy, Elizabeth Reaser, and Gossip Girl‘s Kaylee DeFer were in attendance.

'Young Adult' will be released on December 16th.

BTS: WINSTONE WIELDS GUN ON 'SWEENEY' SET

The action looks really hot as Ray Winstone continues to film his next movie 'The Sweeney'.  Winstone is seen with a gun in these photos.

Jess Liaudin is another SWATH cast member who is in the film with Winstone.

The film is based on a 1970 British television show where Winstone is playing 'Detective Inspector Jack Regan'.  This filming took place around the River Thames in South London.
