The Huffington Post's Jerry Cimino recently wrote a feature about Kristen Stewart's next movie 'On the Road'.
In it Cimino discusses how the cast was chosen in particularly the two main male characters. Cimino writes that Producer Francis Ford Coppola wanted only newcomers to do the roles as opposed to the studio which wanted a "big named actor" such as a Brad Pitt or Johnny Depp.
Coppola won out and cast two virtual unknowns as leads: Sam Riley as 'Sal Paradise' and Garrett Hedlund (pictured with Stewart above) as 'Dean Moriarty'.
Stewart is briefly mentioned as one of the "big named" actors selected to do the film. Stewart will play "Marylou". The film to be released later on this year and has already began to receive Oscar buzz.
