Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth received nominations for this years Teen Choice Awards. 

It is certainly not surprising that Stewart received a Choice Movie Actress: Drama nomination for her critically acclaimed performance as Lydia Howland in Sony Classics 'Still Alice.'

The Teen Choice Awards did the right thing by honoring one of the biggest and profitable film franchises in history with nominations that MTV did not deem it deserved. 

Kristen Stewart and her film The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 led the movie category with several wins which included Choice Movie Actress, Sci-Fi/Fantasy and Choice Movie Actress, Romance.

MTV chose to ignore one of the most prolific group of fans around when they refused to nominate the final Twilight film for any MTV Movie Awards except for one dealing with being shirtless. 

Twilight fans took issue with the slight and hit MTV back hard across the bow with a protest that received worldwide attention. 

In other news, Chris Hemsworth lost out to Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man for Choice Movie Actor, Action.

KRISTEN STEWART & CHRIS HEMSWORTH SECURE NOMINATIONS FOR THE 
2013 TEEN CHOICE AWARDS

Kristen Stewart and her film Breaking Dawn - Part 2 have received several nominations for the 2013 Teen Choice Awards which is a last bow to her character Bella and the Twilight franchise.

Stewart was nominated individually for Choice Movie Actress: Sci-Fi Fantasy and for Romance.  BD2 was nominated for Choice Movie: Romance. 

Chris Hemsworth also received a nomination for Choice Movie Actor: Action for his film Red Dawn.

The Teen Choice awards will be broadcast live on the Fox Channel (US) on August 11th at 8pm ET.  Taped delayed on the West Coast.

STEWART, HEMSWORTH & THERON ARE WINNERS AT THE 
TEEN CHOICE AWARDS

Although Kristen Stewart and her film 'Twilight' were the big winners of the night, SWATH's cast winners as well at the 2012 Teen Choice Awards.


Kristen Stewart won for both SWATH and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1.  For her SWATH honors, she won for Choice Summer Movie Star - Female.  For Breaking Dawn Part 1 she won for Choice Move Actress (Romance) and for Ultimate Choice. 


Charlize Theron won for Choice Hissy Fit which is well deserved and Chris Hemsworth won for Choice Summer Movie Star - Male for SWATH and The Avengers. 


Unfortunately both SWATH and Sam Claflin did not win but it was a good showing overall. 


Stewart's 'Twilight' has shown a strong dominance at the award's show with by winning a total of 41 surf boards since 2008 when 'Twilight was first nominated.

SWATH TIES TEEN CHOICE 2012 WITH THE MOST NOMINATIONS!!  

STEWART, THERON, CLAFLIN & HEMWORTH RECEIVE NOMS

The Teen Choice Awards announced their second wave of nominees and SWATH and Kristen Stewart's The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 are leading in the nominations with 7 nominations each.  


Snow White and the Huntman is up for Choice Summer Movie: Action.  However, the SWATH cast have individual nominations and one is head to head.  


Well deserved nominations for Charlize Theron's portrayal of the Evil Queen Ravenna for Choice Movie Hissy Fit and Choice Movie Villain.  Kristen Stewart goes head-to-head with Charlize with both being nominated for Choice Movie Star: Female.  


Sam Claflin has a nomination for Choice Movie Breakout.   Chris Hemsworth is nominated for Choice Summer Movie Star: Male for SWATH and The Avengers.


Kristen and her film Breaking Dawn Part 1 is up for several nominations:  Choice Movie: Romance for Actress, Actor and Movie;  Liplock with Robert Pattinson; Scene Stealer Male and Female.


Something tells us that the head-to-head with Kristen will most likely won by Charlize because Kristen will most likely win in the Romance category.  Teen Choice has the option of selecting a winner (read fine print). 


The Teen Choice award show will air Sunday, July 22 live on the Fox network (US) at 8:00pm EST/Tape-delayed PST.

Fans between the ages of 13 thru 19 can vote once each day per category. Voting ends Saturday, July 21st at 11:59 PM PT/2:59 PM EST.

EDITORIAL:  TEEN CHOICE: SURF BOARDS & SCREAMS - UNDERWHELMING?

Was there anything really memorable about the 2011 Teen Choice Award show? A memorable performance a la JLo and Tom Cruise? A memorable sliming of an A-list star like Will Smith? The anticipation of the show seemed more memorable with all of the humorous tweets wondering if Robert Pattinson would appear than the show itself.  Twilight star, Bronson Pelletiere even tweeted that the "Teen Choice Awards was a lot more fun last year. Just saying."  Trust us when we say, this is a guy who likes to have fun and if he didn't, that's saying a lot.  

With Jason DeRulo's technical difficulties  and Ashton Kutcher's impromptu sing-a-long, well, you get the picture.  Maybe the sing-a-long was kind of cute but it went a bit too long.  Only a baseball game on Fox delays the 10 o'clock news and Ashton was really cutting into acceptance speech time.  Wonder if the Harry Potter presentation was a bit rushed at the end because of it, we'll never know.

NO TEENS CHOICE FOR STEWART

Marc Malkin of E! News reports that Kristen Stewart will not be attending the Teens Choice Awards this weekend due to her duties regarding the filming of 'Snow White and the Huntsman'.

Stewart is currently in London preparing for filming which begins August 15th. However, her 'Twilight' co-stars Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner will be there to pick up any surf boards on her behalf.

The Teens Choice site lists Chris Hemsworth as an attendee.  But we still have to see if he will show as well since he is still filming 'The Avengers' and has SWATH next.

You can see if Stewart wins any awards this Sunday, August 7th on Fox at 8pm E.S.T.

SWATH AT TEEN'S CHOICE

Chris Hemsworth is set to appear at the Teen's Choice Awards on August 7th.  Although Hemsworth was in a successful movie this year [Thor] we are sure SWATH fans will tune it to see if SWATH will get a mention especially since prodution will have begun [August 1st].

Kristen Stewart is not listed but it does not mean there could be a last minute change.  Fans will surely tune in to see.

KRISTEN STEWART NOMINATED FOR "3" TEEN CHOICE AWARDS

The award season is slowly but surely picking up with the serious (Tonys & Television Emmys) and the light-hearted (MTV Movie Awards) but we love them all especially the ones where the fans have a say. 

Well, the 2011 Teens Choice Awards is upon us and Kristen Stewart is nominated, again!  Stewart is nominated in 3 categories for  "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse:  Choice Actress, Choice Movie: Liplock separately with Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner.  Eclipse is leading the nominations with 12 in all. 

The basic rules for Teens Choice voting are as follows:

Eligible voters must be United States citizens between the ages of  13 and 19 years of age by June 29, 2011.

Voting begins June 29 thru August 5, 2011.

One vote per day per category but you can vote on as many categories as you want.
