"Kristen Stewart by Norman Jean Roy [Photographer] - Los Angeles, 2011"
“I’m a 21-year-old woman having a beer with GQ. I’ve arrived.” ~ Kristen Stewart

{British GQ's Greatest Photographs}

She had one of the most talked about photoshoots (if not the most talked about) of 2011 when British GQ magazine placed Kristen Stewart in a pool and made her their covergirl on their November 2011 issue. It was one of their top selling magazines for that year.

GQ UK will hold an exhibition of their "Greatest Photographs from 1988-2013" beginning Friday, November 1st thru November 8th at the Phillips Gallery, Howick Place, London, SW1.

According to GQ UK, their staff have been "sifting through every photograph ever commissioned, every shoot wrangled and every frame published" over the last 12 months in order to determine which ones were the "50 best of [their] lifetime."

The original photographs are up for auction which ends on November 12, 2013.  Bid for Stewart's photo at paddle8.com.

See the remaining 49 of the Greatest Photographs here.

CHRIS HEMSWORTH WINS GQ
'MEN OF THE YEAR AWARD' FOR "INTERNATIONAL BREAKTHROUGH"

Kylie Minogue presented Chris Hemsworth with his award.

Although not the same level of prestige as the BAFTA Rising Star, Chris Hemsworth won the GQ Men of the Year 2012 Award for International Breakthrough.  The ceremony was held at the Royal Opera House in London on Tuesday.

SWATH was one of several films noted as being a part of Chris's uprise to Hollywood stardom.  GQ writes, in part:

"Five years since leaving TV's Home & Away for Hollywood, Chris Hemsworth isn't just back with a bang so much as a hammer's blow. With the 27-year-old Australian reprising his role as Mjolnir-toting Norse god Thor, Marvel's Avengers Assemble smashed box office records to become not only the year's biggest-grossing film but currently the third-highest earner of all time. Not content with galactic fame, he brooded and battled through Snow White & The Huntsman opposite Twilight's Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron - gaining himself a rabid female fan base in the process - and earned indie credibility in Drew Goddard's cult horror-comedy Cabin In The Woods..."

SAM CLAFLIN TALKS 'MIRROR, MIRROR' COMPARISONS WITH
GQ (UK) MAGAZINE

Sam Claflin is feature in GQ (UK) Magazine's July's issue.  GQ asks Sam about the comparisons between his prince and the prince in 'Mirror, Mirror' played by Armie Hammer. Does his prince out-charm Armie Hammer's prince?

"Haha, out-charm? Uh, no. My prince isn't actually hugely charming." Okay. "The way I portray him is that he hasn't even been with any other women." Right... "He's actually a bit broody. A bit depressed..."

GQ: Could your prince at least take him down?

Sam: "In a fight? Oh yeah. Different kingdoms. I'd kick his backside."

Check out his photos below and read more here at GQ.

STEWART'S 'W' COVER IS ONE OF MTV'S BEST OF 2011

Taylor Lautner on 'GQ,' Kristen Stewart on 'W,' and Robert Pattinson on 'Vanity Fair.'

MTV is full steam ahead with their year-ending lists for 2011.  Now they are giving homage to the Best Fashion Magazine Covers and Kristen Stewart's 'W' is their choice.

Stewart's 'W' cover set off a firestorm on the Internet.  It caused another trending topic on Twitter and every gossip and entertainment site tweeted their excitement for the cover.  It was definitely one of the sexiest magazine covers this year without her having to be obvious (wearing short and revealing outfits) like the majority of covers.

It was just a sexy classic throw back to the days of Ann Margret who you can picture singing Viva Las Vegas along with Elvis Presley. It was tremendously done and not one star had anything close to this cover this year...not even close.

Another cover that really sent the world in a frenzy was the GQ UK cover.  But the cover wasn't the only story...the interview inside really pushed the Twitter into overdrive with only three words..."My Boyfriend's English."  'Nuff said.

GQ UK had tweeted that Stewart's cover was their fastest selling of the year at that time.  We have not seen another tweet indicating that it has been beaten.

The magazine covers MTV is praising are eclectic and really good but did they cause a Twitter frenzy like Ms. Stewart did...twice?!  Don't think so.  The interior spreads themselves i.e. the underwater photographs in GQ UK, got a lot of people excited as well.

Here is what MTV had to say about the W cover:

Another year, another set of Twilight covers! Taylor Lautner smoldered as a throwback to the Rat Pack in a lean suit and slicked hair on the November issue of GQ Australia, while Kristen Stewart also exemplified an homage to retro fashion as a '60s bombshell on the September issue of W. (Do yourself a favor and look at that cover in a bigger version—it's a cat's eye to dream about.) On the opposite side of the spectrum, Robert Pattinson poses with an alligator (um, sure?) on the April cover of Vanity Fair in a very Crocodile-Dundee-meets-urban-cowboy shoot that leaves us with SO many questions: Is that marsh real? Why is Rob's shirt so wrinkled? Is that crocodile considered an accessory? Is PETA mad? We're not! Now if only he'd undo just one more button...

See their entire list of covers here.  Take a look at a few of Stewart's covers with a couple of her memorable photos from this year.

GQ is looking for its best dressed British man. Sam Claflin is one of the many nominees.  It is stiff competition going up against the likes of Robert Pattinson and Orlando Bloom.

Last year 57,000 votes were cast in less than three weeks and a top ten whittled down from a 50-strong initial selection but, to borrow a phrase from Tom Hardy, this year we’re dreaming a little bigger…

Please select your favourite from this shortlist of 100 fashionable British males in the public eye.

The results will be published in print and online next year alongside the definitive, GQ-decided rundown.

Fans can vote for Sam here at GQ.

Kristen took to the pool in some of her shots for 'GQ UK'! She looks amazing in the retro bikini while owning that red dress while lounging in the water. Hopefully we will get to see some outtakes from this shoot.
