NICK FROST RETURNS AS 'NION' AS JESSICA CHASTAIN AND EMILY BLUNT JOIN SWATH PREQUEL

Deadline reports Nick Frost will be the only dwarf to reprise his role in Universal's Snow White and the Huntsman prequel, 'The Huntsman'. Frost will return as Nion.

Frost rejoins Chris Hemsworth as the huntsman and Charlize Theron as Queen Ravenna with SWATH's Visual Effects guru Cedric Nicolas-Troyan who will direct after the controversial departure of Frank Darabont. The first-time director received an Oscar nomination for his work on SWATH's VFX. This will most likely guarantee continuity between the two films.

Also returning will be Joe Roth as producer and Palak Patel who will executive produce, according to Deadline.

Jessica Chastain (Zero Dark Thirty) and Emily Blunt (Into the Woods) joined the cast. Blunt is reported to play a villain. No word on Chastain's role.

'The Huntsman' is set to be released April 22, 2016.

SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN WILL DEBUT ON FX THIS SUNDAY

Universal

Snow White and the Huntsman makes its way to the original FX channel this Sunday, September 28th at 7PM ET after having its original world broadcast debut on the expansion channel FXX.  Since some cable and dish subscriber companies have yet to carry the FXX channel, this will be the world broadcast for most viewers.

FX has been aggressively purchasing the commericial television rights to broadcast Hollywood's top films which cover the demographics of all its channels (FX targets adults 18-49, FXX targets adults 18-34 and FXM targets adults 25-54).

Kristen Stewart's 'Twilight Saga' (which had another marathon this weekend) was one of FX's first major purchases. Other purchases include Marvel film series (Thor, Iron Man, Spiderman etc..), Universal's Ted and Battleship, Prometheus, Madagascar 3 and Men in Black 3 to name a few.

There were several dramatic television ads created for the SWATH debut which rival any of the film trailers.

The ads include plenty of action featuring Stewart as Snow White with voice overs from Charlize Theron and the late Bob Hoskins which will bring tears to your eyes listening to him say his most memorable lines from the film including, "She is the one."

Although Universal has determined not to pursue the Snow White storyline moving the story to pre-Snow White in its upcoming prequel 'The Huntsman', fans can still appreciate this story as it was and as it should be.

Check out the ads in video below and don't forget to tune in this Sunday.

HEADING TO SUNDANCE, STEWART IS A BIT NERVOUS ABOUT ROLE IN 'EQUALS'

Kristen Stewart has a reputation of being a bit of a toughie. However, she is just like the rest of us when it comes to getting nervous about a new job.

In an Associated Press interview, Stewart explains that she is "terrified" of her upcoming role in the Drake Doremus science fiction love story called Equals.

Equals stars Nicholas Hoult (Warm Bodies) who will play Stewart's lover in the film. Stewart describes the story as "devastating."  "It's about love in a world where love really doesn't exist anymore," says Doremus.

"I trust Drake's process and I know we will do something really natural and real," said Stewart. "But I told Drake, 'Don't Expect that I am going to be able to do this. It's too hard.'  But he wouldn't take 'no' for an answer. I've given directors disclaimers before, but never this much."

Regardless of Kristen's reservations, Doremus was 100% sure she could pull it off.

"It became evident in my head that Nick and Kristen would have great chemistry," the director said.

"It's a love story of epic, epic, epic proportion," added Stewart. "I'm scared."

Kristen has nothing to worry about. She can do love stories.  Maybe someone should remind her about starring in one of the most epic vampire/human love stories for the ages.

Kristen has also shown her lover side at a young age in The Cake Eaters and later in Adventureland.

Kristen has also shown the ability to be able to handle fantasy with supernatural circumstances (Snow White and the Huntsman, Zathura, Twilight) and perform with green screen work.

Therefore looking at it from that perspective, she can hang with a futuristic setting. And fans will be looking forward to seeing Kristen in a different and challenging role.  She'll do just fine.

Equals is currently in pre-production and will begin filming later this year.

AP notes that Kristen will be attending the Sundance Film Festival this week for her film Camp X-Ray. Camp X-Ray is scheduled to begin showing on Friday, January 17th.

Check the schedule here for more times.

MALAYSIAN SUSPECT ARRESTED FOR PIRACY OF SWATH AND OTHER FILMS

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that a Malaysian man was arrested for alleged piracy of SWATH and other major Hollywood films through the website jiwang.org.

"According to the Malaysian Ministry of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism (MDTCC), jiwang.org is one of the most popular sources of pirated content online in Malaysia, and hosts links to popular Hollywood films including, Pitch Perfect, Rise of the Guardians, Snow White and the Huntsman, Prometheus, The Bourne Legacy, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, Life of Pi, and A Good Day to Die Hard, and others."

THR goes on: "During the arrest at the 35-year-old suspect’s home in the state of Kelantan, officers discovered a secret compartment that could only be accessed via a wardrobe, leading to a room containing sophisticated computer equipment, an LED TV monitor, modem, router and wireless internet connection."

Sounds a little like Bruce Wayne's bookcase hiding the Bat Cave. Hollywood is definitely happy to get this guy off the street.

DEMI LOVATO SAYS SWATH IS HER FAVORITE STEWART FILM

Singer and X Factor judge Demi Lovato tells Sirius XM Hits 1 radio that SWATH is her favorite Kristen Stewart film during a promotional appearance on the radio station Friday.

Sirius XM Hits 1 asked fans to tweet questions ahead of her appearance. A series of questions and answers were tweeted.

In response to the final question"What's your favorite movie by Kristen Stewart?" Lovato responded, "Snow White and the Huntsman."

To be recognized as a Stewart favorite by the popular and outspoken Lovato over "Into the Wild," "The Runaways," and "The Cake Eaters" (to name a few) as well as her blockbuster franchise "Twilight" is humbling.

Lovato was out promoting her new album "Demi" to be released next month and her new music video "Heart Attack" which can be seen here

HONORING ROGER EBERT:
EBERT'S REVIEW OF SWATH -
"A FILM OF ASTONISHING BEAUTY AND IMAGINATION"

For anyone who has studied journalism, you learn about all aspects of the genre.  You also never know when you will wind up behind a desk giving restaurant reviews or working the graveyard shift giving news updates for the local radio station.

You learn that a neophyte fresh out of journalism school or one who has ticked off an editor or who "can't hack it" in hard news any longer were usually dumped into covering the entertainment news desk interviewing dolphins at the local zoo.

Today, in the world of 24/7 "gossip and gotcha" journalism (if you can call it journalism) money and ratings talk; however, there are still those who are around in entertainment reporting that one can respect as a journalist (do not see Rex Reed).  Roger Ebert, film critic for the Chicago Sun-Times, television host and blogger, was one of the few [remaining].

The list of potential foreign film nominees for the 2013 Accademia del Cinema Italiano Premi David di Donatello (The Academy of Italian Cinema David di Donatello Awards) also known as the Italian Oscars, was released.

SWATH is one of the foreign films that could receive a nomination.  The odds are against SWATH receiving a nomination going up against such heavy hitters as Lincoln, Argo and Les Miserables not to mention films from other countries.

It is no surprise that SWATH would make an impression in Italy since it led a strong Italian box office for three weeks straight beating out the 3D blockbuster Spiderman in the process making a total of $11,357,199 (Box Office Mojo).

Also included was Kristen Stewart's On the Road and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 as well as Chris Hemsworth's The Avengers and Charlize Theron's Prometheus.

Universal has nominees including the hit R-rated comedy Ted.  See the full list of foreign film potentials list here.

STEWART & HEMSWORTH NOMINATED FOR
 KID'S CHOICE AWARDS 2013

Universal

Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth are both up for Kid's Choice Awards 2013.

Stewart is nominated in 2 categories:  Favorite Female Buttkicker for SWATH and Favorite Movie Actress for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2.

KCA's says:

"Kristin Stewart is well known for playing Bella Swan in The Twilight Saga movie series, but it’s her role as the memorable Snow White in Snow White And The Huntsman that has her up against the rest of the tough ladies in this category!"

"In The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2, Kristen Stewart took her last bow as Bella in this epic series finale. Her transformation into a vampire kept us on the edge of our seats, and she just might transform into a KCA winner!"

Disney
Hemsworth is nominated for Favorite Male Buttkicker but not for SWATH. His nomination is for The Avengers.

KCA says:  "Chris Hemsworth is an actor from the land down under -- Australia! You know him best as the hammer-swinging Thor, who smashed out a major role for himself in The Avengers! Will he bash his way past all the slime to the winner’s podium? Time will tell!"

Voting began Thursday, Feb. 14th.  Kids must cast votes here in all of the 22 categories in order to submit the votes made.  The telecast airs live on Nickelodeon Saturday, March 23rd at 8pm ET.
