Edgar Wright jokes with MTV's Josh Horowitz about making an Antman sequel but he plans to make a buddy film that would include the Mighty Thorax played by Nick Frost.  Can't wait to see his costume. 

Frost joined Wright and Simon Pegg at Comic-Con 2013 for the promotion of their movie The World's End which is currently opened in the UK.

NICK FROST ATTENDS COMIC-CON 2013

Nick Frost made an appearance at the San Diego Comic-Con on Friday for The World's End. 

Frost joked with fans along with director Edgar Wright and good friend Simon Pegg during the panel presentation. 

The World's End is the final installment of the Cornetto Trilogy.  Check out Wright's Tumblr for more photos of the series and take a look at a few photos of the Comic-Con appearance below. 

The World's End also stars Eddie Marsan who did not attend SDCC. The World's End is currently opened in the UK and will open in the US on August 23rd .

'CATCHING FIRE' CAST SAYS SAM CLAFLIN WAS A "GOOD FLIRTER" & "AWESOME"

The San Diego Comic-Con went full steam ahead with one of the most anticipated panels for the Lionsgate film Catching Fire.  Although Sam Claflin was unable to attend, he was on the thoughts of his fellow castmates as they were on his.

Sam could be seen briefly in the new Catching Fire trailer released Saturday.  So, check out the interviews with Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson as they talk about Sam.

SAM CLAFLIN APPEARS SHIRTLESS (BRIEFLY) IN NEW 'CATCHING FIRE' TRAILER

Although SWATH fans were disappointed in not being able to see much of Sam Claflin in the new Catching Fire trailer released today on Yahoo Movies, fans did get a small treat by getting a peek into what to look forward to this November 22nd. 

Sam is seen briefly at 1:55 of the video showing a smirk of arrogance as Finnick Odair.

CHRIS HEMSWORTH EXPECTED TO ATTEND COMIC-CON 2013

Chris Hemsworth is expected to appear at the San Diego Comic-Con 2013 for his film Thor: The Dark World.

Chris has appeared before at the SDCC last year for SWATH and The Avengers in 2010.  There are rumors of a possible surprise Avengers 2 panel which he could appear at, but time will tell. 

The TTDW panel is scheduled for Hall H at 6pm - 7pm Saturday, July 20th.

Snow White and the Huntsman a.k.a. SWATH was finally released worldwide on June 1, 2012. Although it did not meet the taste of some critics, it met the fans' expectations in a big way.  

On the second day of January 2011, the SWATH pre-visualization teaser footage was created.  The footage was shown at the San Diego ComicCon in June 2011 which eventually became the movie seen a year later.  

Now with a sequel in the future, here are the 'Top 10 SWATH Memories'  that led up to the year that was.

JODIE FOSTER SAYS KRISTEN STEWART IS "BRILLIANT" IN SWATH: "SHE'S MY DAUGHTER TOO"

Jodie Foster continues to give heaps of praise towards SWATH and Kristen Stewart. The Academy Award winner is attending the San Diego Comic-Con Convention for the first time promoting her film Elysium.


In an interview with Access Hollywood Foster said she should have obtain some tips from her former Panic Room co-star on handling the Comic-Con crowds.


“She’s doing great. I just saw ‘Snow White and the Huntsman,’ which I thought was extraordinary and I thought she was absolutely brilliant in.”


The “Breaking Dawn” beauty, now 22, was just 12 years old when she played Jodie’s on-screen daughter back in 2002, and Jodie said she’s watched Kristen’s career grow with a bit of maternal pride.


“I’m proud of her,” she said. “I feel like she’s my daughter too!”


This is the second interview where Foster has expressed that she enjoyed SWATH but Foster has always indicated her pride in the success in Stewart's career.

COMIC-CON FINALE: STEWART & TWILIGHT MAKE HISTORY

Kristen knows what it means...what it means to the fans, to her cast and to herself... 


SWATH's Kristen Stewart, along with her Twilight castmates, were a little emotional when faced with their final Twilight panel at the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2.  It was the last Comic-Con for the cast and filmmakers.  


Summit Entertainment (now Lionsgate) began its opening by remembering a fallen Twilight fan (TwiFanG) and then proceeded to give the fans something special.  They went out with a bang, according to all accounts.  


Director Bill Condon was unable to attend (completing the score for the final film in London), however producer and author Stephenie Meyer made her return to Comic-Con since 2008 along with 27 cast members. Yes, 28 people on a Comic-Con stage and it wasn't a Batman, Harry Potter or a Star Wars film.  It was Twilight.  

"Impressive.  Most impressive. Obi Wan taught you well."

The staging was so impressive that Josh Dickey of Variety tweeted, "I have never seen this many people onstage. 28 in all. ‪#SDCC‬ ‪#TWILIGHT."

STEWART TO APPEAR ON MTV NEWS LIVE COMIC-CON TAKEOVER

MTV News will be holding live-stream broadcasts for their Comic-Con coverage hosted by Josh Horowitz and it will entail live interviews this Thursday, July 12th beginning with a two-hour show for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 featuring SWATH's Kristen Stewart. 


Their coverage will begin at 1 p.m. ET/ 10 a.m. PT on MTV.com.  Along with Stewart, other cast members appearing are Robert Pattinson,Taylor Lautner, Mackenzie Foy, Elizabeth Reaser, Peter Facinelli, Kellan Lutz, Ashley Greene, Nikki Reed and Jackson Rathbone. 


MTV News will also bring fans reports from the panel appearance and other Breaking Dawn news as well.


MTV News will have three live-stream broadcasts in total.  If fans want to tune into them all, the scheduled broadcasts will show on Thursday, Friday (July 13), and Saturday (July 14) at 1 p.m. ET/ 10 a.m. PT.

STEWART & PATEL'S "OZ" TO HAVE PANELS AT COMIC-CON THIS THURSDAY: PANEL TIMES & INFO

Kristen Stewart and SWATH producer will be attending the San Diego Comic-Con this Thursday.  Stewart will be appearing on the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 panel at the famous Hall H.


It is being reported that fans are already camping out for the final Hall H appearance of the cast.  It will have the largest cast appearance since the Twilight cast has been appearing at the Comic-Con. 


The Inquisitor reports that MTV announced the following cast members will be attending alongside Stewart:  


Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen), new cast member Mackenzie Foy (Renesmee Cullen), Taylor Lautner (Jacob Black), Peter Facinelli (Carlisle Cullen), Nikki Reed (Rosalie), Ashley Greene (Alice Cullen), Jackson Rathbone (Jasper Hale) and Kellan Lutz (Emmett Cullen).


There are rumored reports stating that the wolfpack will appear as well but fans will have to wait and see.  Anything is possible insofar as additional cast members attending since this is the final appearance.

The presentation will include a Q & A with the panel and exclusive footage of the highly anticipated film will be shown.


The Breaking Dawn press conference will be held at the Hilton Bayfront Hotel at 11:00AM to 12:15PM PST/2:00PM to 3:15PM EST.  The Hall H panel will be from 12:45 - 1:45PM PST/3:45 - 4:45PM EST.  Convert to your time zone here.


SWATH producer Palak Patel's Oz: The Great and Powerful  will be presented during the Disney panel presentation at 2:05PM to 3:05PM PST/5:05PM to 6:05PM EST in Hall H.

STEWART FANS...TWILIGHT RETURNS TO HALL H! - 

PATEL'S OZ WILL SHOW AT COMICON

Collider just reported that Twilight will be invading Hall H next month for San Diego's Comic-Con for the final time to see SWATH's own Kristen Stewart. Yes, the Twihards will take over for a day but will camp out for a week or so in order to see their stars for the last time together at the ComicCon for the final film The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2. 


So if you can't stand the Twilight heat, get out the Hall H kitchen because the Twilight takeover is here.  


It is unknown which of the Twilight stars will appear, however unless there is something wrong with the universe, the triple threat should be there (Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner). 


SWATH fans can get an extra treat because Collider is also reporting that SWATH producer Palak Patel's OZ: The Great and Powerful will be presenting there as well.  But this time, Patel will be walking into ComicCon with film footage.


The panel for OZ could possibly include Mila Kunis, James Franco, Rachel Weitz, Michelle Williams and Zach Braff. We cannot wait to see the highlights for this film.


So for Stewart fans, here is a flashback to the Hall H New Moon panel presentation. Stewart was taking a brief break from filming The Runaways so she looked less Bella and more Joan Jett visually and with her actions.  It was amazing to see.  This panel is a fan favorite with all of the innuendos regarding the filming of Breaking Dawn etc... So enjoy!

A Twilight Convention friend I ran into by chance: @innocentlynik with Chris. 

After battling a bout with something I ate (buttery theater popcorn), I really didn't think I could make it to the Wizard World Philadelphia ComicCon on Saturday to see Chris Hemsworth but I did.  I had to. The Huntsman was there. In my hometown.  I had to be there some how some way. 


So after 1pm, I felt at least strong enough to walk and headed to the Pennsylvania Convention Center in downtown Philly to meet an Aussie in the City of Brotherly Love...it was worth the trip.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO SWATH'S DIRECTOR

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RUPERT!!

Today is a big day for the director of Snow White and the Huntsman as he will make his first public appearance to talk about SWATH after the film was completed.

SWATH is Rupert's first venture into a major Hollywood film.  Known for his unique vision as a commercial director, Rupert has taken it to a whole other level with SWATH.

His presentation at last year's Comic-Con sent Hollywood into a tailspin.  Now with a finished product, teaser trailer releases, behind-the-scene featurettes including a finished score, let the games begin! 

Fans will get to question Rupert at WonderCon today during Universal's panel session in Anaheim, California.

AT THE LONDON COMIC CON

The Eagle Comic Awards and MCM Expo London Comic Con in conjunction with Universal, have revealed a contest  for "budding writers and artists to produce a five-page dark fantasy strip, fully colored and lettered."

Winners will qualify for the newly created 'Eagle Award called the 'MCM Expo Award For New Visionaries' and will have their work included in the convention's official program.

However, one winner will be selected for the best writing and one for best art by Steve White of Titan Publishing, writer Tony Lee and artist Mark Buckingham.

“All nominees will be invited to the Awards Ceremony at May’s MCM Expo London Comic Con and the winners will be offered the opportunity to give an acceptance speech,” said Cassandra Conroy [co-owner and organizer of the Comic Con Expo]. “The full list of Award Winners will be released to the world 25 May.”

The London Comic Con will take place between May 25 thru the 27th.  Check out the SWATH themed website for the London Comic Con here!
