JODIE FOSTER SAYS KRISTEN STEWART IS "BRILLIANT" IN SWATH: "SHE'S MY DAUGHTER TOO"

Jodie Foster continues to give heaps of praise towards SWATH and Kristen Stewart. The Academy Award winner is attending the San Diego Comic-Con Convention for the first time promoting her film Elysium.


In an interview with Access Hollywood Foster said she should have obtain some tips from her former Panic Room co-star on handling the Comic-Con crowds.


“She’s doing great. I just saw ‘Snow White and the Huntsman,’ which I thought was extraordinary and I thought she was absolutely brilliant in.”


The “Breaking Dawn” beauty, now 22, was just 12 years old when she played Jodie’s on-screen daughter back in 2002, and Jodie said she’s watched Kristen’s career grow with a bit of maternal pride.


“I’m proud of her,” she said. “I feel like she’s my daughter too!”


This is the second interview where Foster has expressed that she enjoyed SWATH but Foster has always indicated her pride in the success in Stewart's career.

COMIC-CON FINALE: STEWART & TWILIGHT MAKE HISTORY

Kristen knows what it means...what it means to the fans, to her cast and to herself... 


SWATH's Kristen Stewart, along with her Twilight castmates, were a little emotional when faced with their final Twilight panel at the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2.  It was the last Comic-Con for the cast and filmmakers.  


Summit Entertainment (now Lionsgate) began its opening by remembering a fallen Twilight fan (TwiFanG) and then proceeded to give the fans something special.  They went out with a bang, according to all accounts.  


Director Bill Condon was unable to attend (completing the score for the final film in London), however producer and author Stephenie Meyer made her return to Comic-Con since 2008 along with 27 cast members. Yes, 28 people on a Comic-Con stage and it wasn't a Batman, Harry Potter or a Star Wars film.  It was Twilight.

The staging was so impressive that Josh Dickey of Variety tweeted, "I have never seen this many people onstage. 28 in all. ‪#SDCC‬ ‪#TWILIGHT."

STEWART TO APPEAR ON MTV NEWS LIVE COMIC-CON TAKEOVER

MTV News will be holding live-stream broadcasts for their Comic-Con coverage hosted by Josh Horowitz and it will entail live interviews this Thursday, July 12th beginning with a two-hour show for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 featuring SWATH's Kristen Stewart. 


Their coverage will begin at 1 p.m. ET/ 10 a.m. PT on MTV.com.  Along with Stewart, other cast members appearing are Robert Pattinson,Taylor Lautner, Mackenzie Foy, Elizabeth Reaser, Peter Facinelli, Kellan Lutz, Ashley Greene, Nikki Reed and Jackson Rathbone. 


MTV News will also bring fans reports from the panel appearance and other Breaking Dawn news as well.


MTV News will have three live-stream broadcasts in total.  If fans want to tune into them all, the scheduled broadcasts will show on Thursday, Friday (July 13), and Saturday (July 14) at 1 p.m. ET/ 10 a.m. PT.

TRAGEDY HITS TWILIGHT COMMUNITY: FAN DIES AT 
COMIC-CON

There is no secret that Twilight fans will turn any Twilight event into a celebration.  From conventions to premieres, Twilight fans (also known as "Twihards") who have never met each other, will coordinate utilizing social media in order to organize so they can gather and celebrate and meet their beloved stars.  There are numerous of Twilight fans who are also SWATH fans as well. 


Twilight fans began camping out at the San Diego Comic-Con for the Twilight panel which SWATH's Kristen Stewart will appear this week.  However during the panel appearance, the occasion may be a little more subdued because a fan has died.  


UT San Diego reports that Gisela Gagliardi (as identified by fans on Twitter) was the victim.  Gagliardi attempted to  avoid being hit by a vehicle while crossing the street heading back to Hall H. (Read fan account here)  


Photographs were  tweeted of her camping in line with friends (wearing green blouse) along with a photo her and Robert Pattinson here.  


Fans took to Twitter to express condolences on her Twitter page (@mad4hugh).  The world got to see the heart of Twilight community as fans trended #RIPTwiFanG.  


Even moreso, the cast expressed their love and condolences for the fallen fan.  Nikki Reed, Ashley Greene, Jackson Rathbone, Toni Trucks, Guri Weinberg, Judi Shekoni, MyAnna Buring and Charlie Bewley to name a few, expressed their sorrow for the loss.


The Twilight Convention (@TwiTour) and many members of the media also tweeted condolences.  Summit Entertainment in conjunction with Lionsgate issued a joint statement:


"Lionsgate, Summit and the entire Twilight community are saddened by the death of a Comic-Con fan today due to a traffic accident during the hours leading up to this year’s convention in San Diego. Our thoughts and condolences go out to the victim’s family and friends. She will be respectfully remembered this Thursday in Hall H," the statement read. A Twilight panel is scheduled for 12:45 p.m. Thursday."  


A fund has been created to assist with funeral expenses. Donations can be made here.

STEWART & PATEL'S "OZ" TO HAVE PANELS AT COMIC-CON THIS THURSDAY: PANEL TIMES & INFO

Kristen Stewart and SWATH producer will be attending the San Diego Comic-Con this Thursday.  Stewart will be appearing on the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 panel at the famous Hall H.


It is being reported that fans are already camping out for the final Hall H appearance of the cast.  It will have the largest cast appearance since the Twilight cast has been appearing at the Comic-Con. 


The Inquisitor reports that MTV announced the following cast members will be attending alongside Stewart:  


Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen), new cast member Mackenzie Foy (Renesmee Cullen), Taylor Lautner (Jacob Black), Peter Facinelli (Carlisle Cullen), Nikki Reed (Rosalie), Ashley Greene (Alice Cullen), Jackson Rathbone (Jasper Hale) and Kellan Lutz (Emmett Cullen).


There are rumored reports stating that the wolfpack will appear as well but fans will have to wait and see.  Anything is possible insofar as additional cast members attending since this is the final appearance.

The presentation will include a Q & A with the panel and exclusive footage of the highly anticipated film will be shown.


The Breaking Dawn press conference will be held at the Hilton Bayfront Hotel at 11:00AM to 12:15PM PST/2:00PM to 3:15PM EST.  The Hall H panel will be from 12:45 - 1:45PM PST/3:45 - 4:45PM EST.  Convert to your time zone here.


SWATH producer Palak Patel's Oz: The Great and Powerful  will be presented during the Disney panel presentation at 2:05PM to 3:05PM PST/5:05PM to 6:05PM EST in Hall H.
