Any fan of Bravo TV's Top Chef reality show knows Chef Tiffany Derry. On her blog, she wrote about her one of her exciting post-show experiences.

Stewart who is known for her love of cooking, met Derry at Bravo’s ChefDance event during the 2014 Sundance Film Festival.

Derry was asked what her "craziest experience been post-show?" 

Just last week I met Kristen Stewart from Twilight while cooking at Sundance with Brooke Williamson. Her exact words were, 'I f---ing love Top Chef!' She was so excited.

Derry is clearly surprised by her well-known A-list fan giving her a huge hug during their initial meeting.

Another SWATH actress had an earlier connection to the Top Chef show when Charlize Theron appeared on their Season 9 episode "Fit for an Evil Queen"  where a new SWATH trailer made its first television premiere.

CHARLIZE THERON CAUSES NERVOUS LAUGHTER ON 'TOP CHEF'

On Watch What Happens: Live last night, host Andy Cohen quizzed the 'Top Chef' finalist about their season.  One question was about Charlize Theron's episode where he asked about how many "nervous laughters" were seen in the episode. 

When you see the edits of all of the nervous laughing, it's quite funny.  Guess the Evil Queen cast a spell over the chefs after all.

THERON'S 'TOP CHEF' EPISODE IS IMPRESSING CRITICS:

"THE BEST EPISODE YET"

Knowing that critics would be lining up in to see what Charlize Theron [who plays The Evil Queen] would do on Top Chef, her appearance has blown everyone away.  

The moment she stepped into the kitchen, she lit up the screen with sighs and held back screams from the chefs themselves.  Now she lighting up the post reviews.

The Chicago Tribune reviewer writes that this was the "best episode yet".  Not only was Charlize's appearance on the best episode to date, she caused the chefs to present the best food ever made on the show.  The Oscar winner nailed it.

The Houston Chronicle writes, "This is the episode where Charlize Theron comes in to guest judge … and threaten Padma’s unchallenged spot as the most beautiful person on the show."

Ok that was a little gossipy, however, SWATHs queen was gorgeous and that could not be denied.  Just ask the chefs. By the way, if anyone says, "models don't eat" tell them to tune into this episode because Charlize was eating things most humans would not touch.

The Chronicle continues:

"Charlize Theron is much more girl-next-door than murderous-villian, but over the course of this episode, she totally convinced me. She was really into the chefs’ challenge — making evil-inspired food fit for an Evil Queen — and laughed in a creepy way after all her weird jokes.

“If I were to make a wicked dish [Theron says], I should make anything, and then just put poison in it! BAHHAHA!”

Thankfully, the chefs did not go the poisoning route."

SWATH'S EVIL QUEEN SCARES UP THE BEST MEAL EVER SERVED ON BRAVO'S 'TOP CHEF'

"We design the challenge around [the guest]. But they volunteer to come on the show, we don’t go and scout people" ~ Padma Lakshmi

SWATH's "Evil Queen", Charlize Theron, brought out the best meal ever served on Bravo TV's hit show Top Chef last night.  Top Chef hostess Padma Lasksmi described the meal on her blog stating, "This was one of the best dinners we’ve ever had at work, in any season. I mean, it was one of the best dinners I’ve ever sat down to on Top Chef."

Did the Evil Queen scare up the best meal ever.  Well Theron did say the queen was a "serial killer" so that just may do the trick.  However, it just may be that the chefs were so starstruck that they had to impress this Oscar winning actress.  Any chef would love the chance to cook for an A-list Hollywood actress. 

After the chefs finished wiping the sweat off of their brows, giggling like high school girls gushing over the initial introduction of Theron, they went to work scaring up a meal fit for an evil queen.  Boy oh boy, it was some of the most scary looking meals ever made on the show too! 

Lakshmi describes the experience as follows:

"This was a glorious dinner, it was so much fun to eat and to be there. All of the food was striking, not only for how it tasted and felt on the palate and the textures and different temperatures, but also the way it looked. They really did a great job visually of creating something that told a narrative, that told a story about each of these chefs. Their stories and backgrounds are so different that it made for a glorious meal ."

Lakshmi also admits she has met Theron years ago and finds her to be absolutely funny and game to eat anything. 

"It was wonderful [working with Charlize Theron]. I had met Charlize years ago because she’s always been a fan of the show and I just ran into her – I can’t remember now, how – but she’s very funny and obviously very beautiful and very talented. She actually does an impression of me, which I never thought I was that interesting to do an impression of, but it’s funny. [Guests] usually tell us what they want to eat and what they don’t want to eat. Charlize was certainly game for anything. Natalie Portman is not, because she’s a vegan. We design the challenge around [the guest]. But they volunteer to come on the show, we don’t go and scout people."


Along with Theron's appearance came the premiere of the SWATH trailer which included a new image of the queen overlooking a balcony.  All of the images in the trailer have been seen by fans at one time or another.  Yes, maybe fans wanted more but they have to understand that everyone in the world is not eat, sleeping and drinking SWATH so the trailer was definitely new to them. 

Nevertheless, fans should be proud of the first real airing of the trailer to the public.  It looked just as amazing as when we first saw it streamed on computer screens but maybe even moreso since it could be watched on the large screen TV.

Theron's appearance was "top notched" and [insert lame cliche] she hit the ball out of the park.  This episode will air in reruns throughout this season on Bravo TV, so tune into your local listings to see it again and again and again; or watch it on ONDemand.  Check out everything Charlize at Bravo's website here where you can see photos full episodes etc... This episode may appear on Hulu as well so keep checking back to see if it has been placed online.

BRAVO’s Top Chef Wednesday 1/18 @ 10/9c – This week’s quickfire challenge leaves the chef’testants second guessing themselves when they must create a dish incorporating ingredients of their choosing. But here’s the catch, the ingredients are coming into the kitchen one by one via a conveyer belt, and while some chef’s strategy is to wait for the best ingredient to come though, others pick the first ones they see and start cooking right away. However, this quickfire is easy compared to the elimination challenge where the chef’testants must impress guest judge, and Top Chef fan, Charlize Theron. Forget being eliminated, but who wants to disappoint the queen herself?
