CHRIS HEMSWORTH ATTENDS GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS

Chris Hemsworth was a presenter at the 71st Annual Hollywood Foreign Press Golden Globe Awards held Sunday night at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. 

Hemsworth along with legendary Formula 1 race car driver Niki Lauda presented his movie Rush as a Best Motion Picture, Drama nominee. 

Hemsworth later joined Rush director Ron Howard at the Universal/Focus Features/E! after party.

TOBY JONES TALKS JENNIFER LAWRENCE & MORE ~ 
STEWART WAS THERE...IN SPIRIT

Toby Jones attended the 70th Annual Golden Globes yesterday evening in Los Angeles where there were a couple of upsets, but unfortunately he was not one of them.  Kevin Kostner, the favorite in his category, took the Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Mini-Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television for the Hatfields & McCoys.

Josh Horowitz of MTV News caught up with Jones on the red carpet where he spoke about his future projects including Serena, Catching Fire and Captain America.

Check out Golden Globe nominee Toby Jones as he becomes Alfred Hitchcock for his film The Girl in this time lapse video above. 

Jones is nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a MiniSeries or a Motion Picture Made for Television as well as his co-star Sienna Miller who played Tippi Hedren who was nominated in the same category for an actress. 

The Girl was also nominated Best Miniseries or Television Movie.

TOBY JONES & UNIVERSAL'S LES MISERABLES GET 
GOLDEN GLOBE NOMINATIONS!

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced its nominees for their 75th Golden Globe ceremony this morning and it was a big day for SWATH's Toby Jones and Universal Studios. 

Jones received a nomination for the Best Performance by an Actor in a MiniSeries or a Motion Picture Made for Television for his portrayal of the infamous and legendary director Alfred Hitcock in the HBO movie called The Girl.  

His co-star Sienna Miller received the Best Actress nod in the same category for her portrayal of actress Tippie Hedren and The Girl received a nomination for Best Miniseries or Television Movie. 

The Girl, tells the story of the volatile relationship between Hitchcock and Hedren who starred in the Hitchcock/Universal films The Birds and Marnie.

Kristen Stewart along with Australian actor and star of The Mentalist Simon Baker, announced the next recipient of the Hollywood Foreign Press Cecil B. DeMille Award for the 70th Annual Golden Globes. Jodie Foster will receive the honor for her lifetime achievement in entertainment.  Foster will be the youngest honoree since Charlton Heston .

Kristen who is a child star like Foster, has a maintained a close relationship with Foster since starring with her in the 2002 thriller Panic Room. Kristen considers Foster to be a mentor and friend as Foster considers Kristen to be a daughter to her.

We will have to standby to see if Kristen will actually hand her the award during the live show on January 13th, 2013.

"Foster is a two time Golden Globe winner, both as best actress in a motion picture-drama: first in 1989, for The Accused, and then in 1992 for The Silence of the Lambs. In addition, Foster was nominated five other times, the most recent one in 2011 for best actress in a comedy or musical for Carnage. A long time veteran of film and television, Foster began her career at age three, appearing as The Coppertone Girl in the television commercial. She then went on to become a regular on a number of television series. She made her feature debut in Napoleon and Samantha when she was eight years old. 

Foster’s breakthrough role in Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore (1975), led her to the iconic performance of a streetwise teenager in Martin Crosse’s Taxi Driver (1976), winning her widespread critical praise and international attention. 

In total, Foster has appeared in more than 40 films. In addition to her acting, Foster has always had a keen interest in the art of filmmaking. 

Foster made her motion picture directorial debut in 1991 with the highly acclaimed Little Man Tate, in which she also starred. Her most recent film, The Beaver, which stars Mel Gibson, was released in 2011. Since 1994 Foster has also become a producer, through her banner Egg Pictures."

KRISTEN STEWART TO ANNOUNCE
 CECIL B. DEMILE NOMINEE TODAY

UPDATE:  HFPA sent out confirmation via Twitter that Kristen will be announcing the Cecil B. Demille® Award today.

UPDATE: The Hollywood Foreign Press's website could not be accessed late last night  prior to the initial post after the Arciniegas tweet came out and no press release could be located. Therefore, the details of the award could not be ascertained. The schedule is now up, so here is what we could ascertain from HitFix and the LA Times.  

"On Thursday, November 1, 2012 Cecil B. DeMille® Award announcement will take place."  As Juan Carlos Arciniegas of CNN tweeted late yesterday night, Kristen Stewart "was invited" to present the nominee for the award alongside Australian actor and 'The Mentalist' star Simon Baker.

"The Cecil B. DeMille Award has a long and storied history. The award was first handed out in 1952 and has been presented every year since (except for 1976). The first winner was DeMille himself, and some other notable winners include Judy Garland, Sydney Poitier, and Alfred Hitchcock." ~ Hitfix

The LA Times defines the award as follows:

"The Cecil B. DeMille Award is given, according to the HFPA, to "talented individuals who have made an incredible impact on the world of entertainment." 

Morgan Freeman, Robert De Niro, Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg are past recipients.

The 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards will be held on January 13th, 2013 and will be hosted by NBC comedy stars Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.

"The HFPA represent 55 countries with a combined readership of 250 million in some of the world's most respected publications. Each year, the organization holds the third most watched awards show on television, the Golden Globe® Awards." ~ HFPA

THERON WOULD DO A ROMCOM...

Charlize Theron says that she is game to do a Romantic Comedy if it does not bore her.  The Daily Mail asked Theron during a red carpet interview at the recent Golden Globe Awards if she would do a RomCom.  Theron, known for her "strong woman" roles, finds RomComs to be would consider doing one if conditions hold.

Theron says when asked, "Sure," she said immediately. 'As long as it doesn’t bore me to death. Most of those kind of films do, but if I can find one that’s full of life, then why not?"

What she said is not surprising considering she loved eating black birds during her recent Top Chef appearance.  This is a woman who is far from wanting to do something bland or standard.  Sorry Jen Aniston.

Proof of this is the next film she will be working on is a prequel to Mad Max.  The Daily Mail is reporting that she will be playing "a warrior" which is a far cry from a RomCom indeed.

Coming off a controversial Golden Globe win for Madonna for Best Original Song for her upcoming movie W.E., a clip was released featuring SWATH's Liberty Ross.

SWATHERS GET GOLDEN GLOBE NOMINATIONS!

There are a handful of congratulations to go around this morning for the SWATH family as The 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards nominations were announced by the Hollywood Foreign Press this morning.  Here is a list of some of the nominated projects members of the SWATH family are attached to: 

Charlize Theron for her Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture Comedy or Musical for her role in 'Young Adult'.

Other nominations went to the movie 'War Horse' as Best Motion Picture  Drama which stars Eddie Marsan and Johnny Harris. 

'Hugo' received 3 nominations for Best Motion Picture Drama, Best Director, Best Original Score which stars Ray Winstone.  

'The Adventures of TinTin' as Best Animated Feature starring Nick Frost and Toby Jones.

Universal Pictures is also represented with nominations for 'Bridesmaids' as it was nominated in two categories for Best Motion Picture Comedy or Musical and Best Actress.
