Fans constantly talk about how beautiful Kristen Stewart's skin is and without a doubt, she has some of the best skin in Hollywood.  Stewart recently spoke with Into the Gloss about her skin and the use of the acne medicine ProActive.   

However, Elle UK takes issue with Stewart stating that the acne company which uses stars such as Adam Levine and Katy Perry in their ads would not want her.

"The girl has amazing skin, but more importantly, she's certainly not the type to shill something she doesn't believe in," writes Elle UK. "She just doesn't care enough to do that.".

"Still, savvy to how the world sees her, she says she doesn't think Proactiv would want her as a spokesperson. 'I can’t imagine doing one of their commercials, she said. 'I don’t think they’d want me to, to be honest.'" 

"Maybe she thinks they'd rather have a shinier, happier Justin Bieber-type (well, pre-arrest, anyway) hawk their product with a side of giggles and winks. But I say screw that. Say what you will about Kristen Stewart— the girl is genuine in her nonplussed baditude. If she says Proactiv works, I believe it."

Elle UK has recognized both Charlize Theron and Kristen Stewart for having the top 50 'Ultimate Hair Looks of 2012'. 

Charlize's side bun listed at #7, was worn at the Golden Globe Awards in LA and...

...Kristen who made the list twice, sports a bun weaved with gold braiding at #24 which was worn at the SWATH premiere in May.

Kristen's side sweep worn at the Breaking Dawn Part 2 premiere in LA was listed at #48.

'BEST DRESSED LIST OF 2012'

Yes, it's that time of year where everyone has a year-ending list or some kind of poll.  We'll post a few of the cooler ones like an Elle or a poll or two for fun as the year ends.  Here is one because we not only loved the outfit, it was such a bold choice and unexpected as well. 

Kristen Stewart has had to do a lot of red carpets in 2012 from the Cannes Film Festival to multiple movie premieres, she was bound to make a few lists this year be them "hits" or misses." 

Elle UK has released their Best Dressed of 2012 and naturally, unless she has absolutely no style what so ever, Stewart made the list.

Stewart lit up the red carpet for the AFI FEST 2012 screening of her film On the Road.  Being the face of Balenciaga's new fragrance Florabotanica, it was no surprise that she wore a Balenciaga outfit designed by Nicolas Ghesquiere.

As popular as she is, hounded by the paparazzi and married to one of the most beloved individuals in the world, the UK's Princess Kate Middleton has become one of the standard bearers of fashion in the world.  Everyone wants to know "Who's she wearing?" on the daily basis. 

So it is beyond surprising to find out that someone who is known more for her dressed down look of tee shirts, slim jeans, hoodies and sneakers is the UK's #1 Most Searched Celebrity Style Icon of 2012.  Well, at least it's not surprising to her fans.

SWATH's Princess (now Queen) Kristen Stewart beat out Middleton in this annual poll.  No matter if it is surprising to the lesser fan or follower of Stewart, anyone who does follower her would find this not to be so. 

Here's the key: Do not judge Kristen by what she wears when she travels or is running errands around town because she is dressing for comfort and not for style even though she still has it.  Believe it or not, she has a style that girls want to copy no matter what she is wearing. What one would consider to be a ratty looking tee shirt will get sold out in stores just because she wore it. But when it comes to the red carpet she is second to NONE! 


Stewart is feature on the covers and in the top fashion magazines.

In an interview with Mexico's Skyview Magazine, Stewart expressed an interest in fashion, "I like fashion because it’s part of my work. I dive into the new trends when I have to, but I’m more of jeans and t-shirt kind of girl."  





If anyone follows Twitter, Stewart's style is constantly being searched.  Fashionistas like @courtjustice tweet almost daily about everything Stewart wears from the casual to the red carpet.  If a photo of Stewart hits the internet, within minutes fans will know the designer,  where to buy it, when it walked the runway, the price of each item worn from head to toe; and if it is too expensive, where to purchase the most similar clothes to the style for a more affordable price. Therefore, a girl or woman would be able to buy the look no matter what she wore.

When Stewart steps out on the red carpet, it is almost a guaranteed Trending Topic on Twitter.  Her appearance at the Paris Fashion Week's Balenciaga show on Thursday sent "Balenciaga" trending on Twitter with hundreds of tweets about what she was wearing. 

Elle UK may have helped tip this poll in Stewart's favor with their #KristenElle Twitter Photoshoot Promotion in March which also helped boost their magazine sales. 

No matter what you make think of Stewart's style be it the "tom boy casual" or the "red carpet icon", Stewart's got style!

STEWART FRONT ROW AT BALENCIAGA'S  PARIS FASHION SHOW AS BALENCIAGA TRENDS ON TWITTER

A little after 4am east coast time, the Balenciaga Paris fashion show began.  Although the clothes were to be the highlight, SWATH's own Kristen Stewart being the face of Balenciaga's new fragrance Florabotanica stole the show. Someone tweeted that there were more paparazzi outside than fashion show patrons entering. 

Broadcast via Livestream on Balenciaga's website, Stewart's entrance was the most anticipated as photogs clamored to take pictures of her alongside Academy Award nominated actress Selma Hayek before the show began.  After the show ended, "Balenciaga" began trending on Twitter and there is only one reason for that...Stewart.

Placement at a fashion show lets one know where one stands in the pecking order of the fashion elite. Stewart, seen in this photo, was seated next to fashion icon and Vogue Magazine guru Anna Wintour. Yes, Stewart is high up on that ladder.

Balenciaga featured their Spring/Summer 2013 line which Stewart also wore. You could not miss Stewart in a "printed primrose yellow Balenciaga biker jacket, floral patterned trousers and chunky ankle boots" as described by Elle UK.  

The next big appearance for Stewart will be the promotion of her final Twilight movie, 'Breaking Dawn Part 2' which will begin in October.

ELLE DESIGNS THEIR OLYMPIC DREAM TEAM: 
STEWART IN EQUESTRIAN EVENT

Kristen Stewart's horse riding skills in SWATH were impressive enough to make Elle UK's Olympic Dream Team.  

Elle UK put together their Olympic team wish list that includes names from David Beckham to Lady GaGa.  Stewart would be on their equestrian team.

She made riding a horse look so easy in Snow White & The Huntsman earlier this year that you wouldn’t even know she felt uneasy about getting on a saddle. Proving her brilliant acting might be her downfall when it comes to our Dream Team selection, we feel she is the perfect choice for the Equestrian challenges in our fantasy Olympics.

COLLEEN ATWOOD SHARES SWATH COSTUME SKETCHES WITH "ELLE UK"

Oscar Award wining costume designer Colleen Atwood shared her costume sketches for Snow White, Queen Ravenna, and the Huntsman with "Elle UK".  She also talks about where she drew her ideas from and the challenge to come up with so many different costumes.

'It was exciting to know we had some (different) dimensions to explore," she told us.  "The fantasy level as well as the depiction of non-cliche queens and princesses was liberating for all of us, so we took it from there." 

Atwood drew inspiration from library resources, museums, books, web research and raw materials to create costumes that are striking in their intricacy.  Ravenna wears a raven-feather cape, weapons-grade crowns and at least one gown with a bird-skull-adorned neckline. 

Snow White's garb evolves in a more warrior-like direction as she gains confidence, moving from a puff-sleeved gown to a tunic and breeches, and finally, to a fierce yet flattering coat of armour.  "It is the armour that is pieced together by the people of the kingdom, so it has a lighter feel than most," Atwood explained. 

Not that her work was limited to Stewart and Theron.  Challenges of the project included outfitting peasants, knights (enchanted and real), archers and dwarves. 

We had so many levels of society to depict and each (were) a little different, as well as two armies," Atwood said.  "It was a lot to think about.  Over 2,000 costumes were constructed, so that challenge...was huge."
