FROM ENGAGEMENTS TO SHOES - SWATH CAST TWEET CHRISTMAS GREETINGS, GIFTS & GATHERINGS

Gift to Sam Claflin

Fans were treated to plenty of tweeted Christmas greetings from the cast of SWATH including some from the production end.  They were as funny and as joyful as the day.

Here are a few of them to enjoy which includes an engagement announcement from Karen Anderson (squeeee), Johnny expressing some family game-time exploits as well as golf cooking tips from Nick Frost.  Yes, golf cooking.

Hoping everyone had a wonderful, safe and healthy holiday too.  Enjoy!

A LITTLE RAIN AND RUNNING HORSES, NO PROBLEM

(Source: Duncan Mias)

Stuntman Duncan Mais tweeted that it was "very wet" on set yesterday.   Jess Liaudin tweeted that they had more "horse action"; "it was cold and wet and hard work".  "But it was worth it, the set/action look great." Ashley Beck even said this is what they do.

Clearly the guys were working in some tough conditions.  But as Jess said, it will be worth it.  Jess lost his phone on set as well.  Wonder if a horse took liberty and trampled it.  However, Jess tweeted on his old phone.  Glad he had a backup.

ACHES AND PAINS FOR THE LOVE OF SWATH

When unauthorized set photos were placed on the internet via paparazzo yesterday, fans who viewed the photographs could really see what stuntmen like Duncan Mais are enduring while filming 'Snow White and the Huntsman'.

Mais tweeted this morning that he was returning to set to complete the fight scene but he is a little bruised.

When movie magic is placed on screen for fans to see, the grind and the grit of getting it there is never seen.  To Duncan and all the stuntmen and women, we (fans) do appreciate what you are doing to bring 'Snow White and the Huntsman' to life.

Thank you.

IT'S OFF TO WORK THEY GO!!!

(Source)

Received a couple of tweets from our SWATH army fellows early this morning letting fans know that they were off to work.

Duncan Mais tweeted that he only had 4.5 hours of sleep but was up and ready for a two hour wardrobe preparation for filming today.  He said he would try to get a couple "power naps" in. Let's hope so.

Then the colorful Jess Liaudin tweeted that he was ready for the battlefield but wishes he could....well let's say...utilize the men's room before he puts his armour on.  He's a funny guy. You can read his actual tweet here.

Fans are tweeting all over about the movie set and some are somehow gaining access as seen in this picture above.

We are also receiving descriptions of the behind the scene activity.  Nick Donald appears to be another SWATH actor.  Read his bio here.  Maybe he can provide clarification later.

He describes the movie set as follows via Twitter:

"HUGE set up for the filming in Bourne Woods! Costume and makeup is the size of 2 football pitches..”

We are sure there will be many more tweets from fans viewing the movie set.  We will retweet them when they are received and just post a couple of interesting ones as they come.  Everyone is excited about the start of filming even the actors and that's awesome.

UPDATED:

We received a tweet from Nick Donald indicating that he is still waiting for word if he has a role in #SWATH.  Good luck Nick!!

UP AND RUNNING!!

We are just loving this major time zone difference *yawns*.  A tweet came in approximately 3:40 am London time as we wind down for bed back on the east coast of America.  Duncan Mais just tweeted he was up and running heading to set to get ready to get into costume to film!  He actually called it "playtime".

We just posted his tweet only a few minutes earlier of him stating that he was tired and was going to get rest and low and behold, he's up again.  The life of an actor.

So we asked him if he did get any sleep and he said 4.5 hours but he will try to sneak in a couple power naps.  We hope so.  Men need their beauty rest too.

But fans appreciate all that they are doing and cannot wait to see the finished product.  Get some winks when you can Duncan!

A DAY OF FILMING - A DAY IN THE WOODS - A CHALLENGER TO THE QUEEN - A CASTING CALL

(Source: Google Images)

Well, the day began with a tweet indicating there was major filming in the Bourne Wood then many tweets came as fans were visiting and being made aware of the filming.  These woods are well known to any film fan.

The Forestry Commission of the U.K. is the government department responsible for the protection and expansion of Britain's forests and woodlands.  The FC describes these woods as follows:

"Bourne Wood is used frequently as a filming location. It has not only featured in a wide range of TV commercials, but also as a popular location for big budget feature films. The opening battle scene in the blockbuster 'Gladiator' was filmed at Bourne Wood."

About Bourne Wood

"A predominantly coniferous woodland situated on the crest of a hill. A promontary above a large heathland clearing offers an impressive view over the surrounding pine forests. There are also other attractive areas of heathland in Bourne Wood. These are interspersed with silver birch and pine trees creating a more mature heathland habitat."

SWATH is here filming.  You can read more about Bourne Wood and the wonderful recreational activities that you can enjoy here as well as the other woodlands in the U.K.

So we heard from another actor providing a lovely take into his character.  Jamie Blackley enriched us with more than expected - he's a "village guy who has a run-in with the Queen!"

Just imagine Charlize Theron as 'The Evil Queen' absolutely castigating this commoner or worse.  A scene we are sure fans cannot wait to see. Thanks Jamie!

In the meantime, army member, Duncan Mais tweeted that he was tired from reheasals.  Poor boo.  But we appreciate everything he's doing.  His first day of shooting for him begins tomorrow.

A tweet went out by @RobstenDaily reminding those who are up for the casting call for a cathedral scene will take place the week of August 22nd in London.

We posted a tweet from someone who appears to be on the set.  Hopefully we can confirm it in the future but if not, let's just have fun knowing that filming has begun and the actors are excited about it as well.

Thanks to @malenacasey for the casting information.
