SWATH stuntman Jess Liaudin is one of many other SWATH cast members who continue to work on other films together.  Laudin shared photos of himself as he worked on Chris Hemsworth's next film, Thor: The Dark World.

TTDW a.k.a. Thor 2 is Hemsworth's soon-to-be Marvel blockbuster which will be released on November 8th. Thor 2 also stars Academy Award winner Natalie Portman and the return of his half-brother nemesis Loki played by Tom Hiddleston. 

"I worked on Thor 2 as a stunt-man for a couple of weeks which was good fun and a great experience," says Liaudin on his website.

Liaudin also worked with Ray Winstone on The Sweeney. 

From Liaudin's site: "'The Sweeney' was finally released and I had everyone in the Gym asking 'was that you getting beaten up by Ray Winstone?'... the answer is yes but it wasn't my voice, I can't say that I do a very good Irish accent my voice was dubbed."

SEE SWATH'S JESS LIAUDIN FIGHT IN A MIXED MARTIAL ARTS EVENT IN LONDON!

Jess Liaudin may be known by SWATH fans as a 'Shadow Army Soldier', but this Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) champion will be getting back into the ring for a battle with an almost undefeated opponent. 

Jess will be fighting Juan Manuel Suarez of Spain, whose record is 12-1, at the 10th Legion Championship Fighting XI event at the Scala in London, UK on May 13th.

FROM DWARF TO ACTION STAR  - WINSTONE'S 'THE SWEENEY' IS A TOP ACTION MOVIE TO LOOK FORWARD TO IN 2012 

When you hear the names Schwarzenneger, Stallone, Van Damme you think action star - but SWATH dwarf Ray Winstone?  Well, according to Movie Reviews UK, The Sweeney is 1 of the Top 5 action movies to look forward to in 2012.

By rights this spot should probably be reserved for something like Steven Soderbergh’s stylish Haywire, a proper big-name action flick currently doing the press rounds before its end of the month release, but we, probably unwisely, are awarding it to The Sweeney. A risky pick for a few reasons, not least of which being that 70s TV shows don’t always come up smelling of roses after their big screen transfer (see Starsky and Hutch, Dukes of Hazzard), but we just can’t resist the idea of Ray Winstone swaggering around in a kipper tie as Regan telling babbling brooks they’re nicked. Frankly, who could?

From director Nick Love, who brought us a surprisingly acceptable remake of The Firm in 2009, The Sweeney comes out on September 21^st in the UK. All together now, “Get your trousers on, you’re nicked!”

The Sweeney will boast two SWATHERS. Jess Liaudin who plays a 'Shadow Army Soldier 'in SWATH, will be in the film.  In an earlier post, Liaudin tweeted a photo of them on set (above).

The Sweeney will open in the UK September 21st.  No U.S. release date is available to date.

SWATHERS ON 'THE SWEENEY' SET

As we reported last week, Ray Winstone and Jess Liaudin are filming a movie together called The Sweeney.  Liaudin tweeted a nice picture of them both on set today stating that he "got his a*s kicked by @ray_winstone today. Great guy."

MORE SWATH CAST WORKING ON PROJECTS TOGETHER

SWATH cast members continue to work on other projects together.  We recently reported that Toby Jones and  Nick Frost will be premiering their new film 'Tintin', now Jess Liaudin (Shadow Soldier) tweeted that he will be working on 'The Sweeney' with Ray Winstone (Trajan the dwarf) in two weeks.

IMDb is indicating that the movie is "in production".  Outside of Liaudin's announcement, IMDb is only listing two cast members so far and Winstone is one. The film is in the early stages of
pre-production. 



IMDb describes 'The Sweeney' as being "Based on the 70's UK TV show, The Sweeney focuses on a hardened detective in the Flying Squad of London's Metropolitan police."


The film is described to be in the action, crime, drama genre. 

'SHADOW ARMY SOLDIER' FIGHTING IN HIS WORLD

Jess Liaudin who plays a member of the Shadow Army tweeted a video showing what happens behind the scenes prior to a fight.  Liaudin is a champion Mix Martial Arts fighter.

A THOR SIGHTING, A MAN DOWN, A PHONE DILEMMA & A LITTLE HEARTBREAK

 There's a potpourri of information being tweeted today by the cast and crew of SWATH. 

First up, the Prince.  Sam Claflin tweeted that today is his last day on the movie set of 'White Heat'.  He's sad.  Understandable but you are about to begin to be with SWATH permanently and the fans are excited.  So, hugs to Sam on his last day there.

Stuntwoman Cecily Fay made the earth shake (sorry for the pun but I just went through my first major earthquake & it's still on my mind *smiles*) when she tweeted that she met "Thor"!  OK, fanboys and fangirls, let it out *covers ears*. 

Next up is one of the stuntmen who's down for the count, at least for today.  Ashley Beck tweeted that he is getting some physical therapy done because he tweaked his neck poor baby.

Got a tweet from a possible dwarf stand-in/stunt double, Edd Osmond (he never admitted it *winks*).  He wanted everyone to know that he is up and running under @EddOsmond and to disregard the @EddOsmondUK account.   

Also he's having a "new cell phone" dilemma. iPhone or Blackberry. We understand.

I also found out that Palak Patel was from my hometown of Philadelphia last night which is just totally rad.  He tweeted telling his us to be safe because we are about to get hit with a major hurricane. So prayers to all the people in the Delaware Valley area and up and down I-95.

Last but certainly not least, our friend and stuntman Jess will continue acting although he is a busy guy and couldn't continue on with SWATH.  If you didn't get a chance to read his thoughts about working on SWATH, you can read them here. Just click "News".

JESS SAYS GOOD-BYE?

We receive tweets from time to time from the guys who are doing the stunts in 'Snow White and the Huntsman'. The tweet that was sent out the other day was a bit sad because one of our favs will not be continuing on with the film.

Jess "The Jokerman" Liaudin posted the latest news of what he has been up to this August on his website. From videos to acting in his first leading role in a movie, Jess has been quite busy. Then there is the filming of 'SWATH'.

To our surprise, Jess has chosen not to accept additional work on the movie due to his duties with his gym and training. He also had to refuse a role in another movie for the same reason.

The interesting thing about his post is to see him debate with himself if he should just pursue acting.

Jess, we hope you don't mind us putting our two cents in, but do the acting thing. You're getting gigs so just go for it!! When you're hot you're hot. If you enjoy doing stunt work and acting, get on the train and let it ride. We all go through phases and changes in our lives, maybe this is yours. Don't wait until it's too late and before you know it, you're 50 years old and say, "why, why, why didn't I just go for it?!" No regrets. Put your toe in the water...jump into the pool!

A LITTLE RAIN AND RUNNING HORSES, NO PROBLEM

Stuntman Duncan Mais tweeted that it was "very wet" on set yesterday.   Jess Liaudin tweeted that they had more "horse action"; "it was cold and wet and hard work".  "But it was worth it, the set/action look great." Ashley Beck even said this is what they do.

Clearly the guys were working in some tough conditions.  But as Jess said, it will be worth it.  Jess lost his phone on set as well.  Wonder if a horse took liberty and trampled it.  However, Jess tweeted on his old phone.  Glad he had a backup.

The army did not have to get up quite so early today as we playfully tweeted to Jess Liaudin and Duncan Mais that they should be arising soon (3am). 

But it seems like they were allowed a couple more hours of sleep today having a call time at 6am instead of 4am.  But that is the least of their problems.

Jess further tweeted what happened yesterday and what they will be going through today on set.  He tweeted:

"Hard day filming yesterday. More fighting and getting run into by horses today."

All we can say is that we hope they stay safe out there.  We can get caught up in the mundane with the set pictures and fan encounters, however we should remember that what they are doing is extremely dangerous.  We hope that they understand that we (fans) appreciate what they are doing and giving to us to be placed on the screen.

Received a couple of tweets from our SWATH army fellows early this morning letting fans know that they were off to work.

Duncan Mais tweeted that he only had 4.5 hours of sleep but was up and ready for a two hour wardrobe preparation for filming today.  He said he would try to get a couple "power naps" in. Let's hope so.

Then the colorful Jess Liaudin tweeted that he was ready for the battlefield but wishes he could....well let's say...utilize the men's room before he puts his armour on.  He's a funny guy. You can read his actual tweet here. 

Fans are tweeting all over about the movie set and some are somehow gaining access as seen in this picture above. 

We are also receiving descriptions of the behind the scene activity.  Nick Donald appears to be another SWATH actor.  Read his bio here.  Maybe he can provide clarification later.

He describes the movie set as follows via Twitter:

"HUGE set up for the filming in Bourne Woods! Costume and makeup is the size of 2 football pitches..”

We are sure there will be many more tweets from fans viewing the movie set.  We will retweet them when they are received and just post a couple of interesting ones as they come.  Everyone is excited about the start of filming even the actors and that's awesome.

SAM TWEETS A SPECIAL MESSAGE TO HIS CAST & CREW

Sam Claflin who is playing 'Prince Charmant' in SWATH sent out a really sweet tweet to his cast and crew today expressing his excitement to begin filming SWATH.

A couple of days ago, Jess Liaudin, a member of the army, sent out a message stating he cannot wait to start filming next week (which is this week).

Also Craig Garner, an unconfirmed dwarf double, thanked EB for the posting about his projects & SWATH costume fitting.  We say to Craig, "It was our pleasure".  Read it here.
