STEWART MAY HAVE LANDED COVETED LEAD IN
'LIE DOWN IN DARKNESS'
Glamour UK
Vulture is reporting they have heard that Kristen Stewart has secured the lead role in the William Styron 1951 novel, Lie Down In Darkness. The role was strongly sought out by The Hunger Games actress Jennifer Lawrence.
If the report is true, this would be a serious Indie get for Stewart. Stewart will play the role of Peyton. Vulture writes:
Directed by Crazy Heart director Scott Cooper and set in genteel fifties Virginia, Lie Down will have Stewart play Peyton Loftis. As part of a dysfunctional and disintegrating family, Peyton is constantly compared to her crippled sister, Maudie, and her intense physical beauty makes her the object of her frigid mother’s jealous hatred and the target of her father’s incestuous, alcoholic lust.
