Everyone has an Oscar® special now and days...Barbara Walters, Oprah Winfrey, Jimmy Kimmel etc... so as the Academy Awards® approach this weekend, we are going to take a look at the SWATH family's connections to the Oscars® throughout the weekend. 

In addition, we are so siked that SWATH director Rupert Sanders and [Snow White's Mother] Liberty Ross will be appearing at the event and hopefully walk the red carpet at this Sunday, we cannot contain our giddiness.

Up first is SWATH's "Evil Queen" Charlize Theron. 

Charlize won her Academy Award® in 2004 for Best Actress for her performance as real-life killer "Aileen Wuornos" in Monster.

Take a look back at her speech given that night in the video below.  Her Oscar® was presented by Adrien Brody who jokes about kissing the winner.  Adrien had a field day kissing Oscar® winner Halle Berry when he presented her award previously.  It is a funny moment as you will see that Charlize did enjoy.  

Get a hankie because when she thanks her mother, you may need it.

EXTRA, EXTRA: MEET A SWATH WOODSMAN

Julian Seagar

Here is another extra cast member. Meet Julian Seagar "The Woodsman" in SWATH.   

According to Julian's site, he has worked on 'World War Z' with the one and only Brad Pitt.  Julian played a "Russian zombie killer".  How cool is that?!  He has also worked with Daniel Craig in 'Skyfall'.  He just received confirmation that he "has a 'supporting artiste' role in "Henry IV" with Jeremy Irons."

SWATH MAKES EMPIRE MAGAZINES' "20 BIGGEST MOVIES OF THE SUMMER" AT #8

@malenacasey tweeted a couple of quick scans of Empire Magazine's "20 Biggest Movies of the Summer" with SWATH coming in at #8.

Empire states that SWATH "looks and feels different".  It isn't going to be like your typical fairy tale in other words.

NEW STILL & OLD POSTER FOR HEMSWORTH'S

'CABIN IN THE WOODS'

A new movie still was released today for Chris Hemsworth's 'Cabin in the Woods'.  Also, check out this erie original poster released for the film earlier last year when the film was to open in October 2011 until MGM's financial difficulties delayed its release.  Lionsgate eventually took over its distribution and the film will be released on April 13th this year.
