SAM CLAFLIN SIGNS UP FOR 'POSH'
Sam Claflin has finally joined Posh, according to The Hollywood Reporter. As reported in March, Claflin was in talks along with Max Irons (The Host) and Douglas Booth (LOL) both of whom have signed as well.
Robert Pattinson (The Rover) was the fourth actor that was reported to have been in the preliminary stages of negotiations at that time. However there is no word on his status as of yet although there were rumors he recently had been seen in the UK.
Posh is a film adaptation of a Laura Wade play which had a successful run on the British West End.
Posh is centered around the "Bullingdon Club, an Oxford University institution (not unlike a fraternity)." The characters are privileged frat boy types who have an affinity for partying and destructive behavior. "Wade's play focuses on the members of the Riot Club, whose meeting in a country pub ends in tragedy," according to Indiewire.
Posh will be directed by Lone Scherfig who directed the critically acclaimed An Education starring Carey Mulligan.
THR reports that Universal Pictures International (UPI) has acquired the distribution rights for the UK and Ireland.
